Position Overview
We are seeking a highly meticulous Quality Inspector to join our Rolls-Royce M250 Engine Shop. Operating within a Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA) regulated Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) environment, you will oversee critical quality activities throughout the engine module maintenance lifecycle.
This role serves as the bridge between technical compliance and customer confidence. You will perform incoming inspections, review technical records and documentation, verify regulatory compliance, and conduct final inspections to ensure every engine module meets airworthiness, customer, and company standards before release.
This position is intended for an experienced aviation quality professional who can quickly integrate into our operation and contribute with minimal ramp-up time.
Key Responsibilities
Incoming Module Inspection & Induction
- Perform incoming inspections on engine modules, identifying shipping damage, handling defects, and obvious discrepancies.
- Conduct visual inspections to establish the as-received condition of incoming modules.
- Document module condition using comprehensive digital photography.
- Review customer purchase orders and work instructions against approved repair capabilities.
- Audit engine and module logbooks to verify operational history and baseline configuration.
- Open work orders within the ERP system and establish inspection records for the maintenance cycle.
- Create and maintain digital and physical quality records throughout the overhaul process.
Final Inspection, Verification & Sign-Off
- Conduct final visual inspections to verify workmanship, assembly integrity, routing, plumbing, and overall product quality.
- Verify critical assembly requirements, including torque records, build tolerances, and supporting documentation.
- Audit completed work scopes to ensure all work performed and parts installed align with customer requirements and approved quotations.
- Review material certifications to ensure complete traceability and regulatory compliance.
- Audit Commercial Engine Bulletins (CEBs), Airworthiness Directives (ADs), and life-limited component records.
- Complete and sign off technical records supporting final airworthiness release.
- Ensure all quality documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with TCCA requirements.
Required Qualifications
Experience & Technical Knowledge
- Minimum 3-5 years of aviation quality inspection, quality assurance, or maintenance experience within a Transport Canada regulated environment.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with Rolls-Royce M250 engine modules.
- Strong understanding of aviation technical records, component traceability, airworthiness requirements, and regulatory compliance.
- Proven ability to review and validate maintenance records, material certifications, logbooks, and inspection documentation.
- Experience working within an MRO, engine overhaul, or aviation maintenance environment.
Regulatory Authority & Certification Requirements
- Must currently hold, or have recently held, inspection, certification, or quality authority within a TCCA-approved Maintenance Organization (AMO) or equivalent regulated environment.
- Must be able to provide records demonstrating previous authorization and experience exercising certification or inspection authority.
- Demonstrated regulatory knowledge and experience that would support expedited consideration for internal inspection authority qualifications.
- Experience reviewing and approving airworthiness documentation, release records, and maintenance certifications.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous Quality Inspector or QA authority within a TCCA-approved AMO.
- Rolls-Royce M250 maintenance, inspection, overhaul, or OEM training.
- Experience signing Authorized Release Certificates (Form One) or equivalent airworthiness documentation.
- Familiarity with CEBs, ADs, and life-limited component tracking programs.
- Experience working in a gas turbine engine overhaul environment.
