Original job description

English section of this bilingual listing.

Position Overview

To provide technical leadership to our development team. Senior developer, with a product development background. This is R&D on a live product, not IT application delivery.

Strong Java Spring Boot, or full stack with real backend depth. Kubernetes.

Someone who leads technically while still writing code - design decisions, code review, and genuinely developing the people around them. With a junior and mid-level team, the mentoring is not a secondary duty, it is most of the value.

Sound engineering practice they can establish as the norm: CI/CD, meaningful test automation, code review that improves the code.

AI-assisted development (Experience in AI-assisted development is a strong plus: coding agents - driving agentic workflows, writing and configuring custom skills and agent instructions, and using them to deliver real work.)

Responsibilities

Lead the technical design, development, and evolution of the product, focusing on scalable microservices architecture using Java and Spring Boot.
Define and implement best practices for cloud-based solutions leveraging Kubernetes and Microsoft Azure.
Mentor and guide team members, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing.
Drive the adoption of advanced automated testing frameworks to ensure exceptional product quality.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Monitor and ensure the team's adherence to agile methods and continuous delivery principles.
Lead technical discussions and decisions, providing clear technical direction for the team.
Contribute to integrating AI-driven development techniques to enhance product efficiency and performance.

Qualifications

Excellent communication skills in English or French
Proven experience in software development, particularly with Java and Spring Boot, with a focus on leadership or mentoring roles. Awareness of integration with front-end frameworks like Angular.
Hands-on expertise in Kubernetes and microservices development.
Extensive knowledge of Azure cloud development, deployment pipelines, and DevOps practices.
Strong familiarity with testing frameworks and automated testing strategies.
An ability to influence, mentor, and empower team members while driving collaboration.
Demonstrated capability in end-to-end product ownership, delivering high-quality solutions that align with strategic goals.
Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a track record of driving technical excellence in dynamic, agile environments

Compensation

1 poste disponible.
