The Stocktaking Counter performs physical inventory counts, asset verification, materiel identification, inventory reconciliation support, barcode application, and related warehouse activities at DND facilities
Responsibilities
- Perform physical inventory counts
- Record quantities, serial numbers and batch information
- Verify manufacturer part numbers and inventory details
- Identify inventory discrepancies
- Conduct recounts as directed
- Verify condition tags and labels
- Verify shelf-life information where applicable
- Identify damaged or expired materials
- Return inventory to designated locations
- Affix inventory labels and barcodes
- Complete count sheets and supporting documentation
- Support warehouse inventory activities
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months inventory counting or stocktaking experience within the past 5 years
- Eligible for Reliability Status and/or Secret Clearance
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Lift and move up to 25 kg
- Climb ladders
- Work at heights up to 15 metres
- Stand or walk for extended periods
- Work in warehouses and outdoor environments
- Travel for extended assignments

Le/la préposé(e) à la prise d’inventaire effectue le dénombrement physique des stocks, la vérification des biens, l’identification du matériel, le soutien à la réconciliation des stocks, l’application des codes à barres ainsi que diverses activités connexes d’entreposage dans les installations du DND.
Responsabilités
- Effectuer le dénombrement physique des stocks.
- Consigner les quantités, les numéros de série et les renseignements sur les lots.
- Vérifier les numéros de pièces du fabricant et les détails relatifs aux stocks.
- Identifier les écarts d’inventaire.
- Effectuer des recomptages selon les directives.
- Vérifier les étiquettes et les indications relatives à l’état des articles.
- Vérifier les renseignements sur la durée de conservation, s’il y a lieu.
- Identifier les matériaux endommagés ou périmés.
- Remettre les stocks aux emplacements désignés.
- Apposer les étiquettes et les codes à barres sur les stocks.
- Remplir les feuilles de comptage et les documents justificatifs.
- Soutenir les activités d’inventaire en entrepôt.
Qualifications
- Au moins 6 mois d’expérience en dénombrement des stocks ou en prise d’inventaire au cours des 5 dernières années.
- Être admissible à l’obtention de la cote de fiabilité et/ou de l’habilitation de sécurité de niveau Secret.
- Diplôme d’études secondaires ou équivalent.
- Être capable de soulever et de déplacer jusqu’à 25 kg.
- Être capable de monter dans des échelles.
- Être capable de travailler à des hauteurs allant jusqu’à 15 mètres.
- Être capable de rester debout ou de marcher pendant de longues périodes.
- Être capable de travailler dans des entrepôts et dans des environnements extérieurs.
- Être disponible pour effectuer des déplacements dans le cadre de missions de longue durée.
- Être bilingue en anglais et en français.
