Position Overview

Calian recherche actuellement un Technologue en sante occupationnelle pour une opportunité de travail à la BFC Valcartier. Les technologues des services de santé occupationnelle possèdent une expertise, des connaissances et des compétences spécialisées dans les domaines de la santé et de la sécurité au travail. Leurs rôles principaux sont de développer et de mettre en œuvre des programmes qui aideront à préserver la vie, la santé et les biens. Ceci est accompli en identifiant les risques pour la santé et la sécurité dans l’environnement de travail et en recommandant des mesures correctives. Le technologue des services de santé occupationnelle fait partie de l’équipe de soins de santé en effectuant des inspections des installations du MDN selon des calendriers établis pour surveiller la conformité aux lois, aux règlements et aux politiques et en préparant des rapports décrivant l’état et les plans d’action recommandés. Les technologues des services de santé occupationnelle sont tenus de porter l’EPI approprié afin d’accomplir leurs tâches en toute sécurité.

Responsibilities

effectuer des enquêtes et des inspections en matière de santé au travail liées au Programme de protection des voies respiratoires des Forces canadiennes, à l’Instruction du Groupe des Services de Santé des FC, au Programme de surveillance des risques chimiques et à d’autres programmes de santé au travail pour le MDN et les installations du MDN;
effectuer des visites, de la surveillance et des inspections de conformité en matière de santé au travail sur le lieu de travail aux installations du MDN et des FC;
réaliser des inspections et des enquêtes sur la santé au travail, notamment :

Qualifications

Le technologue des services de santé occupationnelle doit, au minimum, avoir 2 ans d’expérience:

Dispenser des services de santé et de sécurité au travail dans le cadre d’un programme de santé environnementale à titre de technologue en services de santé au travail;
Appliquer les lois fédérales et provinciales sur la santé environnementale et la santé et la sécurité au travail;
Mener des enquêtes sur la santé et la sécurité au travail ou dans l’environnement; et
Rédiger des rapports techniques dans les domaines de l’environnement, de la santé au travail et de la sécurité.

Additional Requirements

Diplôme d’étude collégiale (DEC) en Environnement, hygiène et sécurité au travail ou
Cours de technicien en médecine préventive / Complété le niveau de qualification 6A des Forces armées canadiennes (FAC)
Permis de conduire provincial valide (doit être prêt à voyager localement et à l’extérieur de la base vers d’autres lieux de travail dans la zone de responsabilité de l’unité)
Horaire du lundi au vendredi (7h30AM-4PM)

Responsibilities

Conduct occupational health and safety investigations, inspections, workplace visits, and compliance monitoring at Department of National Defence and Canadian Armed Forces facilities. Assess hazards and regulatory compliance, recommend corrective actions, and prepare technical reports describing findings and action plans.

Requirements

Requires at least two years of experience delivering occupational health and safety services, applying environmental health and safety legislation, conducting investigations, and writing technical reports. Applicants must have a college diploma in occupational environment, hygiene and safety, or preventive medicine technician training, or have completed Canadian Armed Forces Qualification Level 6A, and hold a valid provincial driver's licence.
