AV Installer Technician - Entry Level

Our certified technicians handle system installation, cabling, rack work, control programming and turnkey AV builds for boardrooms, classrooms and more, on projects ranging from small upgrades to full-scale deployments. About the Role

Do you love technology and like working with your hands? We’re growing, and we’re looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Audio Visual Technician to join our installation team.

You’ll help install, maintain and troubleshoot AV systems for a range of clients, including boardrooms, video conferencing spaces, sound systems and display setups. You don’t need years of experience. We’ll train you. What matters is that you’re eager to learn, reliable and take pride in doing the job right.

This role involves travel to project sites across the GTA, so flexibility to work at different locations is essential.

What You’ll Do

• Install and maintain AV equipment, including projectors, displays, sound systems and video conferencing setups

• Read and interpret drawings to support equipment setup and installation

• Run, organize and secure cabling so it’s safe, neat and professional

• Help with site preparation and inventory, and keep materials and equipment organized

• Lift and move AV equipment as needed during installations

• Keep the job site clean during and after each install, and leave the space tidy with all materials properly stored

What We’re Looking For

• A basic understanding of audio-visual systems and components

• The ability to read functional wiring diagrams, schematics and blueprints

• The ability to terminate field cables such as RJ45, BNC, SpeakON, DB9 and XLR

• Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort handling a variety of AV equipment

• Comfort with hands-on tasks like running and dressing cables and keeping a clean workspace

• Willingness to travel to job sites across the GTA

Nice to Have (Not Required)

• Prior experience with AV systems

• Hands-on experience with Crestron, Kramer, QSC, Shure or Logitech equipment

• A valid G driver’s licence
