Camp Canada is an award-winning international staffing agency for Canadian summer camps and outdoor education organizations.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual to assist with participant placements and work directly with our camp directors in our Account Manager position. This person will have the opportunity to learn from and influence a fast-growing company and be a part of a fun, dynamic work culture.

The Account Manager will be expected to place international staff at Canadian camps/outdoor education centres and sell other international staffing services to camp directors. The Account Manager will provide ongoing support to camp directors throughout the year and, if the initial 7-month contract is extended, also provide support to camp staff when they arrive in Canada.

Job Responsibilities:

Specific duties in this role include, but are not restricted to:

Secure work placements for international participants at camps and outdoor education centres (Sales)

Relationship building with camps and outdoor education centres:
Connect with directors over the phone, by email and meet with them in person
Operating as the lead point of contact for all matters specific to your accounts (camps)
Attend industry conferences virtually or in person where possible
Develop strong client relationships
Communicate with participants, as necessary
Participate in relationship building activities (where applicable)

Collaboratively working towards achieving placement targets:
Work in collaboration with the Sales team (recruitment) and the other Account Managers to decide on suitable camp placement matches for international staff.
Work closely with your Line Manager to support the onboarding of new placement team members. (where applicable)
Help to organize and run webinars and sessions with Camp Directors and their teams to best prepare participants for what to expect at camp and make sure proper supports are in place.

Operations:
Utilize the company database to keep track of sales information and participant program information.
Take responsibility for collecting all mandatory information from camps prior to being entered into the hiring pool.
Contribute significantly to the proactive identification of new camp partnerships (prospecting) and the reactivation of relationships with previously affiliated camps.
Review and provide feedback on company services.
Support your team with developing, vetting, and scheduling mass communications through Email Octopus to camp directors (in accordance with Marketing guidelines).
Play a role in the delivery and implementation of virtual job fairs and in-person director events.
Help plan and attend camp visits during the summer if the initial 7-month contract is extended..

Other:
Sell additional international staffing services provided by the Employer (e.g. certification courses, health insurance policies).
Actively participate in company meetings.
Find ways to actively innovate the services we provide, the systems we use in our organizations and the way in which our business operates and play a key role in implementing these changes.
Be an active member of other Camp Canada committees/task forces/projects as necessary.
Supporting camps and participants with the early departure process if the initial 7-month contract is extended.
Taking part in the annual Placement Team debriefs.
Providing direct support to participants and directors on the emergency line during the summer months.

Prospecting:
Identify and research potential new camps to approach using internal databases, social platforms, referrals, and industry resources.
Conduct outreach to new prospects through email, phone calls, and LinkedIn with the goal of securing welcome calls.
Re-engage previous camp partners who have not signed up this year, using personalized communication to understand blockers and renew relationships.
Track all outreach activity (calls, emails, responses, follow-ups) in Postcard (company database) accurately and promptly.
Communicate with other Placement team members to stay aligned on who is responsible for which camp accounts.

Able to work long hours during busy periods, preferred time zone is EST or willingness to work EST hours.
Excited about the core mission and values of Camp Canada, and demonstrate a clear understanding of the program.

Dates of Employment (7-month contract):

Ideal start date: November 2nd, 2026
Contract end date: May 28th, 2027

Compensation:

Annual: $60,000 - $64,000. Prorated based on contract length. The daily rate of pay will be between $230 and $246, depending on experience.

Experience:

Sales experience is an asset.
Specific experience in a recruiter-type role, sourcing candidates and connecting them to job roles, is an asset.
Experience working at a camp or within the outdoor industry for at least two camp seasons (4+ months) is important.
The ability to speak French and/or Spanish is very beneficial.
Experience attending a camp as a camper is an asset.
Experience travelling and/or working abroad is an asset.

Other Requirements:

Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or someone in possession of a valid open work permit that will allow employment until at least the end of May 2027.
Able to communicate in English.
