Client Advisory Services (CAS) is Canada Life's advice and sales organization focused on building individual relationships with plan members and clients.

Reporting to the Director, Retirement & Savings Advice and Sales, the Manager, Savings & Retirement Advice and Sales is responsible for leading a team of licensed Investment & Retirement Consultants and Wealth Associates who support members through workplace transitions and important savings decisions. This role is accountable for helping members understand their options, make informed financial decisions and maintain strong advice relationships with Canada Life.

The Manager is responsible for achieving team sales, retention, productivity and client experience objectives through strong leadership, operational excellence and disciplined management of sales centre performance. Success in this role requires a relentless focus on pipeline management, speed to action, advisor productivity and conversion outcomes, ensuring members receive timely advice and support during critical moments in their financial journey.

What You Will Do

Lead and develop a team of licensed Investment & Retirement Consultants and non-licensed Wealth Associates focused on supporting members through workplace transitions and important savings decisions.
Accountable for achievement of team sales, retention, engagement, productivity, financial planning and utilization objectives.
Drive team performance through disciplined management of operational sales metrics, including lead volumes, contact rates, appointment conversion, asset retention, revenue generation, advisor productivity and pipeline outcomes.
Oversee the effective management and prioritization of sales opportunities, ensuring members receive timely outreach and advice during key decision-making moments.
Lead a two-tier engagement model that combines proactive outreach from Wealth Associates with licensed advice delivery from Investment & Retirement Consultants to maximize member engagement and business results.
Coach Consultants and Wealth Associates to deliver high-quality advice experiences that strengthen member relationships, improve retention outcomes and support long-term financial well-being.
Develop and refine contact strategies that improve speed-to-contact, appointment-setting rates, conversion outcomes and overall sales effectiveness.
Identify opportunities to deepen member relationships through advice, planning conversations and referrals to other Canada Life solutions, including Insurance & Benefits opportunities where appropriate.
Monitor business performance and leverage reporting, analytics and operational insights to identify trends, remove barriers and continuously improve team results.
Ensure consistent execution of advice practices, sales processes, compliance requirements and service standards across the team.
Recruit, coach and develop talent while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement and client-focused advice.

What You Will Bring

Reliability Status Security Clearance – this can only be completed with candidates who receive an offer of employment. This is a personal security status that is required as a condition of employment before an employee can gain access to Protected B information, assets or work sites as outlined by the Government of Canada website. The cost of submitting these checks will be covered by Canada Life.
5-10 years of experience in financial services, wealth management, retirement planning or Group Retirement Services.
Strong understanding of retirement savings plans, investment products, wealth accumulation strategies and financial planning concepts.
Proven success leading high-performing teams accountable for sales, conversion, retention and revenue generation with a focus on client best interest.
Experience managing sales pipelines, lead management processes and advisor productivity metrics in a performance-driven environment.
Demonstrated ability to coach advisors and sales professionals to achieve business objectives while delivering exceptional client experiences.
Proven ability to leverage data, insights and technology to improve advisor performance and business outcomes.
Exceptional knowledge of retirement savings, retirement income and investment products and services.
Strong communication, coaching and stakeholder management skills.
LLQP designation or experience leading licensed financial services professionals; CFP designation is considered an asset.
Knowledge of Group Retirement Services, retirement savings products and workplace retirement plans is considered an asset.
As this position is posted in several locations, we specify that bilingualism is an asset (fluent in French and English) but is required for Quebec only as the position will regularly serve our clients with French and English-speaking needs.

The base salary for this position is between $86,600 - $144,300 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
