Role Description

We are looking for a customer-focused Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will help customers select electrical and lighting products, prepare quotations, process orders, and follow up on inquiries to develop sales and build lasting customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist customers at the sales counter and respond to phone and email inquiries.

• Identify customer needs and recommend suitable products and available alternatives.

• Prepare accurate quotations, process sales orders, and follow up on outstanding quotes.

• Check inventory availability and coordinate with purchasing and warehouse staff to fulfill orders.

• Communicate pricing, product availability, and delivery or pickup arrangements clearly.

• Develop product knowledge and maintain an organized, professional sales area.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service, communication, and sales skills.

• Familiarity with Excel, Word and QuickBooks, particularly preparing quotations and processing sales orders and invoices, is an asset.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain product information clearly, respond professionally to customer inquiries, and follow up effectively by phone and email.

• Previous experience in electrical supplies, lighting, wholesale distribution, or trade counter sales is an asset.

• Knowledge of electrical and lighting products, or a willingness to learn.

• Good attention to detail when preparing quotations and processing orders.

• Ability to manage multiple customer requests and follow up consistently.

• Comfortable using sales and inventory software, email, and basic spreadsheets.

• A dependable, collaborative approach to work.
