Role Description The IT Service Desk Analyst is a full-time, on-site role based in Edmonton, AB. This role is responsible for providing front-line technical support to team members, including diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues. Day-to-day tasks include responding to service requests and incidents, documenting solutions, escalating complex problems when needed, and ensuring timely follow-up with users. The analyst will support end-user devices, business applications, and system access, while maintaining service desk standards and contributing to continuous improvement. Collaboration with IT colleagues and other departments is expected to ensure consistent, high-quality support.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong Technical Support and Troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and basic network issues.
Candidates should possess solid Customer Support and Customer Service skills to assist users in a clear, professional, and patient manner.
Candidates should possess effective Analytical Skills to identify root causes, prioritize issues, and recommend practical solutions.
Experience with service desk ticketing systems, ITIL-based processes, and documentation of incidents and resolutions is beneficial.
Knowledge of Windows operating systems, common business applications, and basic networking concepts is preferred.
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work on-site in a fast-paced environment are required.
A diploma or certification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience, is an asset.
