LOGISTICS DRIVER – MEDICINE HAT
The Logistics Driver is responsible for the safe operation of equipment during their shift.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that Trican’s core value, “Safe equipment and operations” is the priority in all activities
- Operate various large duty trucks over outdoor terrain and through all weather conditions
- Attend pre-job safety meeting on location
- Perform pre/post trip inspections and accurately fill out all required forms
- Perform rig-in/out of all equipment for travel
- Operate all equipment in a safe and responsible manner
- Establish and maintain effective communication with colleagues
- Consult with supervisor and crew regarding any operational deficiencies
- Assist in all required equipment maintenance
- Ensure all required paperwork is completed in a timely manner
- Valid Class 1 Driver’s licence is required
- High school diploma is an asset
- Safe driving skills; driver’s abstract will be requested
- Physically fit – heavy lifting required
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong leadership and managerial skills
- Skilled in problem-solving techniques
- Values-driven organization

Responsibilities
Safely operate heavy-duty trucks and equipment across outdoor terrain and in all weather conditions, following safety procedures and attending pre-job safety meetings. Inspect and rig equipment for travel, communicate operational issues to supervisors and crew, assist with maintenance, and complete required paperwork.
Requirements
A valid Class 1 driver’s licence is required, and a high school diploma is an asset. Candidates need safe driving skills, physical fitness for heavy lifting, strong written and verbal communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
