The main responsibility of the Payables Accountant is to process invoices for payment in the OpenInvoice system, with reference to EnterpriseOne, including general ledger and tax coding. The successful candidate will work on a busy and rewarding team with interactions with suppliers, as well as many different business areas within CNRL, to ensure the most efficient processing of supplier invoices.

Key Accountabilities:
- Process invoices for payment in OpenInvoice
- Verify General Ledger coding and supplier information in EnterpriseOne
- Validate GST, PST, HST and withholding taxes
- Validate invoice totals and supporting documentation
- Handle supplier inquiries and account reconciliations
- Monitor vendor updates (legal name changes, address changes & amalgamations)
- Validate vendor information, purchase orders and work orders through Maximo (Asset management software solution)
- Project work as assigned
What You Bring to the Role:
- 2+ years of related oil and gas accounting experience
- Post-Secondary education in Accounting
- Strong communication, organizational, teamwork, and work ethic skills.
- Expertise in:
- Data processing
- Microsoft Excel an asset
- EnterpriseOne (E1) an asset
