We are seeking a highly motivated Field Facility Engineer to join our growing Kirby and Jackfish SAGD Thermal Operations. In this role, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team delivering practical, high-impact engineering solutions that enhance equipment reliability, facility performance, and operational efficiency.
This opportunity is ideal for an engineer who thrives in a hands-on environment, enjoys solving complex operational challenges, and wants to play a direct role in supporting the company’s long-term production, reliability and profitability goals.
Key Accountabilities:
As the district Facility Engineer, you will champion equipment and process reliability by:
Building strong working relationships with Operations, Maintenance and Engineering teams to deliver effective solutions to challenging problems
Providing day-to-day engineering support for critical rotating and static equipment, including pumps, motors, compressors, exchangers, vessels and control valves
Driving continuous improvement projects focused on production efficiency, equipment reliability and operational excellence
- Leading facility upgrades through the Management of Change (MOC) process from concept through to implementation and commissioning
Facilitating Root Cause Analysis following unplanned equipment failures & process upsets, and leveraging sustainable corrective actions across the district
Sharing technical knowledge and mentoring less experienced engineers and team members
Contributing technical expertise to new greenfield & brownfield projects, debottlenecking, and managing small capital projects
