Title: Senior PGIE Advisor

The Senior PGIE Advisor – Enablement provides subject matter expertise and technical advisory support to strengthen the effectiveness of PGIE and Safeguarding elements within Humanitarian Services. They support all Humanitarian service lines by offering technical guidance, capacity building, training, and by developing PGIE and Safeguarding tools and standards. The role helps assess program and service needs, recommends operational improvements, and ensures alignment with organizational priorities and community needs. It also monitors performance, supports compliance, and facilitates collaboration across stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and impact.

In this role, you will :

Provide subject matter expertise and strategic and technical guidance to strengthen program/service effectiveness, ensuring alignment with best practices, organizational priorities, and national society needs.
Assess program/service gaps, analyze trends, and provide recommendations for operational enhancements to improve service delivery, accessibility, and impact.
Serve as a key advisor to internal teams at national and provincial levels, fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing.
Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, nonprofits, national societies, Indigenous organizations, and other key stakeholders to support service delivery.
Provide technical expertise, training, and mentorship to internal teams and external partners to enhance their capacity in program delivery.
Contribute to financial reporting and compliance with funding requirements, while ensuring transparency and accountability to partners.
Develop and implement training materials, toolkits, and resources to support program effectiveness and knowledge transfer.
Advise on culturally safe and inclusive approaches to ensure equitable program/service access for diverse communities.
Lead program/service evaluation efforts by analyzing performance metrics, community feedback, and impact assessments to inform decision-making.
Ensure compliance with funding agreements, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies, providing advisory support to mitigate risks and improve accountability.
Contribute to the development of performance reports, dashboards, and impact narratives for leadership and external stakeholders.
Guide the development and execution of relevant strategies that foster meaningful participation, co-design, and inclusive decision-making.
Work with communities to identify evolving needs, emerging challenges, and opportunities for program/service enhancement.
Advocate for community-driven solutions, ensuring program strategies reflect cultural, social, and economic considerations.

What we are looking for :

Qualifications include a 3-year college diploma or university degree in social sciences, community development, Indigenous studies, Gender and Social Justice, Feminist studies or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience related to protection, diversity and inclusion, child protection, gender equality, anti-racism and decolonial approaches, and/or SGBV programming would be an asset.
A minimum of 6-9 years' experience in humanitarian assistance, international or community development, public administration or other related field.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and SharePoint.
Ability to identify complex problems, analyze interrelated factors, assess and mitigate risks, and develop solutions using specialized skills.
Communication and influence skills to gather perspectives, understand needs, and present information to reach consensus, often in somewhat sensitive situations.
Knowledge of community engagement principles, participatory approaches, and capacity-building techniques.
Experience working with diverse communities, including Indigenous, rural, and underserved populations.
Fluency in English is required; Fluency in French and or Spanish is considered a strong asset. Additional languages relevant to the communities and regions served by the organization are considered an asset.

Working Conditions :

The majority of the work is conducted virtually, with possibility of deployment and on-site meetings.
