Original job description
About the Role
Reporting to the Sr. Director of Third-Party Risk Solutions, we are building out our Third-Party Risk (TPR) program and need an Analyst to own the day-to-day execution of supplier onboarding. You will be a primary point of contact for suppliers moving through our registration, due diligence, and verification process, and will keep the pipeline moving by chasing outstanding items, validating documentation, and escalating issues to the right stakeholders. This is a high-volume, detail-oriented role at the centre of a cross-functional project.
This is a hands-on role for someone looking to build practical experience in third-party risk and due diligence program operations.
What You’ll Do
- Manage the end-to-end intake of new suppliers from request through to approval, in line with the TPR process and timelines.
- Issue onboarding and document requests; track completion and status in the TPR tracker.
- Verification and due diligence of supplier registration.
- Review supplier submissions (corporate registration, banking details, insurance, certifications, policies) for completeness and accuracy.
- Identify gaps, inconsistencies, or red flags and escalate to the TPR Lead with a clear recommendation.
- Follow-up and stakeholder management
- Proactively follow up with suppliers and internal owners on overdue items; maintain an accurate aging view of outstanding actions.
- Draft clear, professional communications to suppliers explaining requirements and next steps.
- Run weekly pipeline reviews and prepare status updates for the project team and steering committee.
- Reporting and process improvement.
- Maintain the supplier master data and TPR records; ensure audit-ready documentation for every onboarded supplier.
- Identify bottlenecks and recommend improvements to templates, workflows, and tooling.
What We’re Looking For
- Nice to have: 1-2 years of relevant experience in third-party risk management, compliance, operational risk, information security, procurement or a related area but new graduates welcomed.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify missing, inconsistent or unclear information.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage several assessments and follow-up items concurrently.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, banks and suppliers.
- Sound judgment and the ability to recognize when an issue requires further review or escalation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Teams. Experience with AI tools such as Claude would be welcomed.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in business or finance is preferred, but welcome other areas of discipline.
Why This Role
You will get hands-on exposure to a first-of-its-kind industry initiative, work directly with major Canadian banks, and build skills in stakeholder management, compliance operations, and program delivery - with room to grow into larger program leadership over time.
Please inform us if you require any accommodations during the hiring process. Please note that only those candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
