As an Export Documentation Coordinator, you’ll:
- Execute all export shipping documentation by preparing, coordinating, signing and issuing final documents in accordance with contract terms and in a timely manner. This includes issuing the invoice, bills of lading, certificate of origin, customs documents, marine insurance and other documents as required.
- Instruct and coordinate the completion of customer documents in collaboration with independent surveyors, customs agents and third-party industry providers.
Distribute export documents to all appropriate parties including owners, brokers, charterers, masters, agents, receivers and principles within country customs requirements and deadlines. - Build knowledge through collaborating with cross-functional departments including Marketing, Operations, Legal and Finance to ensure accurate and efficient processing of shipping documents.
- Arrange couriers and delivery services in a timely manner to ensure the customer has everything required to clear customs and pick up their product.
- Build and maintain strong business relationships with customers and responds to requests.
You’ll bring:
- Diploma or Certificate in Administration, Export Documentation or International Trade.
- Minimum two years’ experience in a related field.
- Knowledge of export documentation, logistics, letters of credit, shipping industry practices and previous experience in customer service would be considered an asset.
