Position Summary

Cansel is looking for a Customer Lifecycle Account Manager to manage and grow relationships with existing customers throughout their asset lifecycle.

In this role, you will manage a portfolio of customers within an assigned industry sector, with responsibility for recurring revenue from software subscriptions, positioning services, and software and hardware maintenance plans.

You will proactively engage customers to understand their business and technology needs, support the adoption of Cansel solutions, and identify opportunities to strengthen and expand each customer relationship.

What You'll Do

  • Manage a portfolio of existing Cansel customers and build strong relationships through proactive, regular engagement.
  • Manage subscription, software, service, and maintenance plan renewals while achieving or exceeding assigned revenue targets.
  • Develop a strong understanding of each customer's business, workflows, and technology needs.
  • Help customers maximize the value and adoption of their Cansel solutions.
  • Identify upselling, cross-selling, and account expansion opportunities.
  • Recommend products, services, and subscriptions that address customer requirements.
  • Partner with Sales, Technical, Operations, and other internal teams to coordinate renewal strategies, customer opportunities, and internal resources.
  • Research and prepare for customer conversations.
  • Follow up on commitments, quotations, renewals, and sales opportunities to maintain momentum.
  • Maintain accurate customer, renewal, and opportunity information in the CRM.
  • Deliver a high level of customer service while balancing customer needs with Cansel's retention, growth, and commercial objectives.

What You'll Bring

  • Previous experience in sales, account management, customer success, customer service, or a related customer-facing role.
  • Strong customer relationship and account management skills.
  • A genuine interest in understanding customers' businesses, challenges, and technology needs.
  • A commercial mindset and motivation to meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Confidence proactively contacting customers and leading conversations by phone, email, and virtual meeting.
  • The ability to uncover customer needs through effective questioning, research, and active listening.
  • Strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple customers, renewals, and sales opportunities while prioritizing work effectively.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience working with CRM systems and maintaining accurate customer and sales information.
  • The willingness and ability to continually learn new products, software, and technology solutions.
  • A self-motivated approach and the ability to manage a broad customer portfolio with minimal supervision.
  • The ability to contribute effectively within a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Preferred, but not required: Experience within the geospatial, surveying, scanning, engineering, construction, or technology industry.
  • Preferred, but not required: Experience managing subscription, SaaS, or other recurring-revenue customers.
  • Preferred, but not required: Experience with Salesforce or another CRM platform.
  • Preferred, but not required: Experience supporting customer renewals, retention, or account growth.

Compensation

  • Base salary: $55,000 CAD annually.
  • Target annual commission: $30,000 CAD.
  • On-target earnings: $85,000 CAD annually.
  • Commission incentives are uncapped, providing the opportunity to earn above the stated on-target earnings when performance exceeds assigned targets.

Why Choose Us?
