Location: Mirabel – 3 times a week onsite (hybrid)

The Aerospace Door Integrator is responsible for the design, integration, development, and certification support of aircraft door systems and associated structural installations. This role serves as the technical focal point for door assembly integration activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, company standards, manufacturing capabilities, and program objectives.

The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams including Stress, Systems, Manufacturing, Quality, Program Management, and Suppliers to develop innovative and reliable aerospace solutions throughout the product lifecycle.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the integration, design, and development of aircraft door systems, including structural components, mechanisms, composites, metallic parts, and system installations.
  • Produce 3D models, engineering concepts, and detailed design solutions using CATIA, while reviewing and approving design data and detail parts.
  • Assess and document the impact of engineering changes on door assemblies, aircraft structures, systems, manufacturing processes, and certification requirements.
  • Act as the technical focal point and prime coordinator for design changes, ensuring effective project planning, execution, and delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with aeronautical regulations, company design standards, configuration management requirements, and manufacturing capability guidelines.
  • Define, coordinate, and validate qualification, verification, and certification testing activities for door systems and associated components.
  • Perform technical evaluations and risk assessments related to non-conformities, damaged structures, repairs, concessions, and deviations from engineering specifications.
  • Collaborate with Stress, Systems, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Program Management, and external suppliers to resolve technical issues and support product development.
  • Monitor project priorities, schedules, and change management activities to ensure milestones and deadlines are achieved.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives through root cause analysis, corrective actions, and reduction of non-quality issues.
  • Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree or Technical Diploma in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
    • 5+ years of experience in aerospace design, integration, manufacturing, or structural engineering.
    • Strong knowledge of aircraft structures and door systems, including metallic and composite assemblies.
    • Experience with detail design, mechanisms, sheet metal parts, machined components, assemblies, and systems installation.
    • Proficiency in CATIA (V5 or V6) for 3D modeling, integration, and design release activities.
    • Solid understanding of aerospace regulations, certification requirements, and engineering processes.
    • Knowledge of configuration management, engineering change management, and product lifecycle management principles.
