Job Title: Landing Gear and Brake Systems Integrator

Location: Mirabel (hybrid 3 days a week)

We are seeking an experienced Aerospace Systems Integrator to support the development, integration, qualification, certification, testing, and in-service support of large commercial aircraft’s Landing Gear and Braking Systems.

The successful candidate will coordinate technical activities across system suppliers and multidisciplinary aircraft teams, manage engineering changes and system documentation, support Flight Test, Final Assembly Line, manufacturing, and in-service investigations, and ensure that system requirements and technical deliverables meet applicable performance, safety, quality, and airworthiness requirements.

This role requires a strong systems-engineering mindset, practical knowledge of aircraft systems, and the ability to manage complex technical activities from initial problem definition through implementation and closure.

In this role you will,

  • Support the development and aircraft-level integration of Landing Gear and Braking Systems, ensuring compliance with applicable system, aircraft, performance, reliability, safety, and airworthiness requirements.
  • Manage and coordinate mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, avionics, structural, and functional interfaces between Landing Gear and interfacing aircraft systems.
  • Support systems-engineering activities, including requirements definition, decomposition, validation, verification, and traceability.
  • Perform technical studies and system analyses to assess system performance, integration impacts, operational behavior, and design maturity.
  • Develop, review, and maintain engineering reports, system documentation, interface definitions, and other technical deliverables.
  • Participate in system and aircraft design reviews to ensure that aircraft design requirements and program objectives are achieved.
  • Coordinate technical activities with Landing Gear and Braking System suppliers.
  • Conduct regular supplier follow-up and monitor progress against agreed technical deliverables, milestones, and closure plans.
  • Review and validate supplier technical documentation, qualification evidence, analyses, test documentation, and other engineering deliverables.
  • Identify deficiencies, open points, and deviations in supplier deliverables and coordinate corrective actions through closure.
  • Participate in technical meetings and design reviews with system suppliers and relevant internal or external stakeholders.
  • Ensure supplier technical deliverables are submitted on time, meet expected quality requirements, and comply with applicable processes and technical standards.
  • Lead and support engineering change activities from initial problem definition and impact assessment through implementation and technical closure.
  • Assess the impact of proposed changes on system requirements, interfaces, aircraft configuration, safety, qualification, certification, testing, technical documentation, and in-service operations.
  • Coordinate change activities with suppliers, internal engineering disciplines, manufacturing, customer support, program teams, and other affected stakeholders.
  • Review and validate technical deliverables associated with engineering changes.
  • Monitor change implementation and ensure that affected system documentation and engineering databases are updated.
  • Prepare technical and governance packages and present engineering-change status during project and technical reviews.
  • Support system and aircraft testing activities, including test preparation, instrumentation coordination, test procedure development or update, test execution, data analysis, and test reporting.
  • Develop and review test plans, test procedures, test requirements, and test reports for Landing Gear and Braking Systems.
  • Support development and certification testing in coordination with the Flight Test Center and relevant engineering teams.
  • Review and validate supplier qualification documentation and supporting compliance evidence.
  • Participate in Test Readiness Reviews and other technical reviews associated with testing and qualification activities.
  • Ensure test results are validated with relevant stakeholders and properly reflected in applicable system documentation and databases.
  • Support certification activities and the preparation, review, and closure of technical compliance evidence.
  • Coordinate the resolution of test findings, deviations, and open points.
  • Support the investigation and resolution of Landing Gear and Braking System issues arising during development, Flight Test, Final Assembly Line operations, manufacturing, entry into service, or in-service aircraft operation.
  • Perform data analysis, system troubleshooting, root-cause investigation, and technical-impact assessment.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of aircraft Landing Gear and Braking System architecture and operation ( 2-10 years’ experience).
  • Knowledge of relevant functions such as landing gear extension and retraction, braking, steering, indication, control, monitoring, and weight-on-wheels or proximity-sensing functions.
  • Understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, avionics, structural, and control-system interfaces associated with Landing Gear systems.
  • Demonstrated experience integrating complex aircraft systems at system or aircraft level.
  • Ability to evaluate functional and physical interfaces across multiple systems and engineering disciplines.
  • Experience coordinating technical activities throughout the aircraft or system development lifecycle.
  • Experience with requirements definition, decomposition, analysis, validation, verification, and traceability.
  • Ability to translate aircraft-level objectives into system-level requirements, activities, and technical deliverables.
  • Experience developing or reviewing engineering reports, requirements documentation, and interface definitions.
  • Experience assessing and coordinating engineering changes from initial impact analysis through implementation and closure.
  • Ability to evaluate change impacts on requirements, interfaces, configuration, safety, qualification, certification, testing, documentation, and operations.
  • Familiarity with structured review, approval, and configuration-control processes.
  • Experience preparing and reviewing test plans, test procedures, test requirements, and test reports.
  • Experience supporting test execution, test-data analysis, problem investigation, and technical reporting.
  • Understanding of aerospace system qualification and certification processes.
  • Experience investigating development, Flight Test, manufacturing, Final Assembly Line, or in-service aircraft issues.
  • Strong capability in troubleshooting, data analysis, root-cause investigation, corrective-action development, and technical closure.
  • Ability to present investigation findings and recommendations clearly to technical stakeholders.
  • Experience coordinating technical activities with aerospace equipment or system suppliers.
  • Ability to review and validate supplier analyses, test documentation, qualification evidence, and other technical deliverables.
  • Experience managing supplier actions, technical open points, and deliverable maturity through closure.
  • Understanding of aerospace system safety principles, failure analysis, technical risk management, and airworthiness processes.
  • Familiarity with aircraft certification, compliance demonstration, and Continuing Airworthiness activities.
  • Ability to recognize issues that may affect aircraft safety, conformity, or approved configuration.
  • Experience preparing, reviewing, and controlling aerospace technical documentation.
  • Understanding of configuration management, document control, technical release, change traceability, and engineering-data integrity.
  • Ability to work with requirements, configuration, document-management, and problem-reporting tools.
