Must have knowledge of international and Canadian electrical standards and codes including API, NFPA, CSA, and IEEE. Familiarity with electrical safety regulations and practices.
Construction support and/or field engineering for brownfield and/or greenfield utility, oil & gas, oil sands, refinery, or industrial projects would be considered an asset.
Experience with medium and low voltage electrical power distribution systems and equipment, including transformers, switchgear, VFDs, motor control centers, and motors.
Experience in power system analyses (Load Flow, Short Circuit, Relay Co-ordination, Arc-Flash, Motor Starting) would be an asset but not required.
Fluency in both written and spoken English.
A self-starter with strong technical, interpersonal, teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
Must be capable of conducting field visits at client’s facilities as required.
