Position Summary
The Manager, Revenue Operations is responsible for supporting the sales and client-facing teams through reporting, analytics, process improvement, and operational leadership. This role ensures leaders have the insights and information needed to drive performance, improve productivity, and support revenue growth.
This individual will personally lead and oversee a team in the development and maintenance of reporting, dashboards, and business insights across Sales, Client Engagement, Commercial Sales, and Sales Operations. Working closely with stakeholders throughout the organization, they will translate business needs into meaningful metrics and actionable recommendations that help leaders make informed decisions and coach their teams effectively around key revenue opportunities.
This role will also lead initiatives to improve operational processes, identify revenue opportunities and risks, and support the ongoing evolution of revenue systems and workflows. Acting as a trusted advisor to the business, the Manager, Revenue Operations will partner with cross-functional teams to implement best practices, drive adoption of new processes, and ensure operational consistency across the revenue organization.
The role will provide analytical support and recommendations related to pricing, performance, productivity, and revenue optimization, helping leadership improve business results, reduce revenue leakage, prevent fraudulent behavior, and identify account misuse. The position will also perform both advisory and investigative activities and serve as a key point of contact for business and operational teams regarding revenue-risk, compliance, and operational process inquiries and initiatives.
Position Responsibilities
Revenue Analytics & Reporting
- Lead the development and ongoing enhancement of reporting, dashboards, and business insights that support Sales, Client Engagement, Commercial Sales, and Sales Operations teams.
- Translate business requirements into meaningful metrics and actionable insights that support decision-making, revenue growth, and performance management.
- Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of revenue-related reporting and performance measures across the organization.
- Partner with business stakeholders to identify reporting needs and support the successful implementation of process, reporting, and system enhancements.
Revenue Risk & Compliance
- Develop and maintain processes, policies, and controls designed to reduce revenue leakage, prevent fraudulent behavior, and identify account misuse.
- Monitor and analyze revenue risk indicators, providing insights and recommendations to business leaders and governance committees.
- Perform advisory and investigative activities related to operational, compliance, and revenue-risk matters.
- Serve as a key point of contact for business and operational teams regarding revenue-risk, compliance, and process-related initiatives.
- Lead initiatives that strengthen operational controls while balancing customer experience and business objectives.
Revenue Operations & Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve revenue-generating processes, operational efficiency, and business performance.
- Support the ongoing evolution and optimization of CRM, reporting, and revenue technology platforms.
- Drive adoption of new processes, tools, and operational best practices across the revenue organization.
- Develop scalable processes and measurement frameworks that support organizational growth and strategic priorities.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead, coach, and develop a team responsible for revenue reporting, analytics, and operational support.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Client Engagement, Product, IT, Finance, Legal, and other business partners to drive alignment and achieve organizational objectives.
- Act as a trusted advisor to leadership by providing data-driven recommendations related to pricing, productivity, performance, and revenue optimization.
Position Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, Business Operations, Analytics, or a related field, with increasing levels of responsibility.
- Demonstrated experience leading/managing teams and cross-functional projects and driving operational improvements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends, risks, and opportunities through data.
- Experience developing reporting, dashboards, and business insights to support decision-making and performance management.
- Advanced knowledge of CRM, reporting, and business intelligence platforms.
- Ability to think strategically while remaining hands-on in execution and day-to-day problem solving.
- Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across multiple departments and levels of the organization.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience supporting initiatives related to process improvement, revenue optimization, compliance, risk management, or operational controls.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation
At CARFAX Canada, we believe in fair, transparent, and equitable compensation. This role has an annual salary range of $100,000 - $130,000 CAD. This role is also eligible for an annual performance-based bonus.
