A typical day will have you:
- Working in a dynamic, agile, matrix environment supporting high-use, modern applications.
- Participating in daily huddles and other Scrum ceremonies.
- Writing high-performing, robust code to guarantee fast and accurate delivery of new system features on high-visibility projects.
- Apply best practices for architecture, security, and performance of complex systems primarily in Typescript.
- Participating in design decisions, including technology research and prototyping.
- Utilizing test driven development and continuous integration methods.
- Developing thorough testing and monitoring approaches.
- Getting exposed to a broad range of technologies to continually improve your skills.
- Collaborating closely with other developers, Architects, UX designers, Project and Product Managers, support teams and other stakeholders.
- Sharing your knowledge with other team members and across the organization via guilds and inter-team coordination.
- Documenting processes, architecture, maintenance, actions and decisions.
- Ensuring adequate Non-Functional Requirements are implemented and updated throughout the application lifecycle.
Required Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in software design and development of complex systems.
- Knowledge of Full Stack software development.
- Experience with Back-End languages (such as Java, Kotlin, C#, Go and Python).
- Experience with Front-End languages (such as JavaScript, Node.js, Typescript, HTML5 and CSS3).
- Experience with modern front-end JavaScript Libraries (such as Reactjs, Vue or Angular).
- Experience with client/server architecture and building APIs and services using REST or GraphQL.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker and BigData is an advantage.
- Experience with Relational and NoSQL database systems (such as MySQL, Mongo, DynamoDB or Elasticsearch).
- Experienced with developing in AWS cloud environment.
- Experience with Continuous Integration / Delivery such as Gitlab CI/CD
- Experience with Containerization (such as Docker).
- Experience with application monitoring and alerting systems and standards (such as New Relic, OTEL, CloudWatch, ITIL, Prometheus, PagerDuty).
- Knowledge of microservices architectural pattern.
- Experienced with full SDLC development including design, building, testing, deployment, upgrade and support.
- Ability to work and collaborate effectively in a matrix team environment as well as independently.
- Ability to provide leadership and mentor engineers through complicated technical challenges.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with OAuth2.0, OIDC, or other modern authentication frameworks and conventions.
- Experience with SEO and Site Speed.
- Experience with A/B testing.
- Supported applications in multiple markets and time zones and languages (e.g. Canada).
- Experience with software development using AI Coding Toolsets (such as Co-Pilot, Claude Code) and AI SDLC Frameworks (such as AIDLC).

Base Salary:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is CAD $78,000 to $116,000 annually. Final base salary will be determined based on geographical location, experience, and qualifications.
