Duties And Responsibilities

Responsible for the administration, governance, and operational enablement of the university’s enterprise low code, analytics, collaboration, and cloud platforms that support Enterprise Application and digital solution delivery. This role ensures that platforms such as Microsoft Power Platform, Microsoft Fabric, SharePoint for solution delivery, and selected Azure services are securely configured, governed, and maintained to enable scalable, sustainable, and compliant use across Information Technology Services and Enterprise Applications. The position focuses on enabling delivery teams by establishing environments, controls, and operational standards, while supporting cloud adoption, workload uplift, and platform sustainability. This role does not directly build business solutions, but instead ensures the platforms are ready, optimized, and governed to support solution delivery.

Qualifications

The incumbent must possess the following qualifications:

▪ Strong knowledge of Power Platform administration including environment strategy, governance, and Centre of Excellence toolkit

▪ Experience administering Microsoft Fabric and enterprise analytics platforms in a complex environment

▪ Experience with SharePoint administration in support of application and workflow solutions

▪ Knowledge of Azure services relevant to integration, automation, AI, and cloud enablement, including Logic Apps and related services

▪ Experience supporting cloud migration and workload uplift initiatives

▪ Knowledge of platform governance, security, compliance, and data protection practices

▪ Knowledge of operational management practices including service delivery, policy development, planning, and performance management

▪ Knowledge of enterprise IT environments and integration across applications, data, and cloud platforms

▪ Knowledge of application systems development, database architecture, and information security program design, delivery, assessment, and evaluation methodologies, processes, and practices

▪ Knowledge of relevant governing legislation, collective agreements, policies and procedures

▪ Knowledge of office as well as the broader university academic units, departments, and divisions

▪ Knowledge of office productivity software and databases, internet browsers and search engines, discipline-specific software, enterprise software, and technology devices

▪ Knowledge is used to lead technical service unit

▪ Contemporary best practices in IT architecture, information management, and technology programs and service delivery models

▪ Knowledge of IT applications, infrastructure and security and their integration

Education And Experience

The above is normally acquired through the completion of:

▪ Completion of bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related program

▪ Minimum of seven years of progressive experience in platform administration, enterprise applications, or cloud environments

▪ Experience working in large, complex organizations, preferably in higher education or public sector environments

▪ Relevant Microsoft certifications are required or expected to be obtained within a reasonable timeframe, including Azure Solutions Architect Expert and Microsoft 365 Enterprise Administrator Expert
