Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing and production activities within a fast-paced industrial environment. This individual will oversee frontline operations, drive workforce engagement, and ensure production targets, quality standards, and safety objectives are consistently achieved.
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with a strong background in operations management, continuous improvement, and team development. This role will collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to maximize efficiency, improve operational performance, and support overall business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day production and operational activities to ensure customer and business requirements are met.
- Manage staffing, equipment, and resources to support production schedules and operational efficiency.
- Monitor departmental performance and contribute to achieving financial and operational objectives.
- Promote and maintain compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, cost reduction, and process optimization.
- Investigate operational issues and implement corrective actions to resolve performance gaps.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance management for team members.
- Partner with cross-functional departments to streamline workflow and improve operational effectiveness.
- Track and report key performance metrics, driving accountability and results across the team.
- Support strategic initiatives and operational planning efforts.
- Foster a collaborative, positive, and high-performance work environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related discipline; equivalent experience will also be considered.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, production, operations, or a related industrial environment.
- 3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
- Demonstrated success managing teams and improving operational performance.
- Experience implementing lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or operational excellence initiatives.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other business systems.
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment.
- High level of professionalism, accountability, and attention to detail.
