Original job description

Company Description Caspian Drywall Inc. is a Winnipeg-based construction company serving clients across Canada with high-quality drywall, steel stud framing, insulation, taping, ceilings, wall panels, painting, and spray foam and blow-in insulation services. The company focuses on multi-residential, commercial, and large-scale construction projects, delivering reliable workmanship and innovative building solutions. A young, energetic, and forward-thinking team uses modern construction techniques and industry best practices to maintain high standards on every project. Caspian Drywall is committed to quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction, providing tailored drywall and interior construction solutions that aim to exceed expectations. Applicants can expect to join a growing organization that values professionalism, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include assigning tasks, monitoring progress, resolving on-site issues, and communicating with project managers and clients as needed. The role involves reviewing plans and specifications, inspecting work for compliance with company and industry standards, and maintaining accurate records of labour, materials, and project status. The Supervisor will also support training and mentoring of team members, promote safe work practices, and contribute to continuous improvement of processes and project delivery.

Strong skills in coordinating schedules, managing resources, and overseeing day-to-day site operations to meet project timelines and quality expectations.
Knowledge of construction plans, specifications, building codes, and safety regulations, with the ability to interpret drawings and ensure compliance.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with crews, subcontractors, project managers, and clients, including conflict resolution and team leadership.
Demonstrated ability to identify issues, troubleshoot problems on site, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced construction environment.
Commitment to safe work practices, with experience implementing and monitoring health and safety procedures on job sites.
Basic computer and mobile technology skills for reporting, documentation, and project communication (e.g., email, spreadsheets, project management tools).
Previous supervisory or lead hand experience in construction; trade certification or formal construction training is an asset.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites in and around Winnipeg and, when required, other locations.
