WELDER-FITTER / MILLWRIGHT

About Eutectic Canada

Eutectic Canada is part of a global organization specializing in welding, brazing and thermal spray technologies. Our products and solutions are used across a wide range of industries for the repair, protection and maintenance of equipment against wear and corrosion.

We are looking for an experienced, motivated and hands-on Welder-Fitter or Millwright to join our in-house service team in Vaudreuil-Dorion.

This is a diverse hands-on position involving welding, fabrication, fitting, assembly and repair, with the opportunity to develop specialized expertise in thermal spray technologies and Eutectic products.

Key Responsibilities

Operate manual and semi-automatic equipment for welding and thermal overlay applications.
Perform welding and fabrication work.
Operate plasma cutting equipment.
Perform heavy fabrication, fitting, installation and assembly.
Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Measure, inspect and assess parts to ensure compliance with customer and company requirements.
Perform brazing operations.
Assist with equipment repair and maintenance activities.
Support and assist apprentice and less-experienced welders in developing their skills.
Perform various shop duties, including equipment maintenance, shipping and receiving, and forklift operation.
Travel occasionally to off-site customer or work locations as required.
Follow all company safety, quality and operating procedures.

Qualifications & Skills

Minimum 1 year of relevant experience as a Welder-Fitter, Millwright or similar role.
Experience with MIG, TIG, SMAW and FCAW welding.
Brazing experience.
Knowledge of PAW (Plasma Arc Welding) and/or thermal spraying is an asset.
Experience with heavy fabrication, fitting and assembly.
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
Strong measuring, inspection and quality-control skills.
Ability to operate manual and semi-automatic equipment.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and precision.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Willingness and ability to learn new processes, products and technologies.

Responsabilités

· Opérer des équipements manuels et semi-automatiques pour l'application de soudure et de revêtements thermiques.

· Effectuer des travaux de soudage et de fabrication.

· Utiliser des équipements de découpe au plasma.

· Effectuer des travaux de fabrication lourde, d'ajustement, d'installation et d'assemblage.

· Lire et interpréter des plans et dessins techniques.

· Mesurer, inspecter et vérifier les pièces afin d'assurer leur conformité aux exigences du client et de l'entreprise.

· Effectuer des travaux de brasage.

· Participer à des travaux de réparation et de maintenance d'équipements.

· Soutenir et accompagner les soudeurs moins expérimentés et les apprentis dans le développement de leurs compétences.

· Effectuer diverses tâches d'atelier, notamment l'entretien de l'équipement, l'expédition et la réception de marchandises et l'utilisation du chariot élévateur.

· Se déplacer occasionnellement sur des sites hors établissement, selon les besoins.

· Respecter les normes de sécurité, de qualité et les procédures de l'entreprise.

Qualifications et compétences

· Minimum de 1 an d'expérience pertinente comme Soudeur-Monteur, Welder-Fitter ou Millwright.

· Expérience en MIG, TIG, SMAW et FCAW.

· Expérience en brasage.

· Connaissance du PAW (Plasma Arc Welding) et/ou de la projection thermique, un atout.

· Expérience en fabrication, ajustement et assemblage.

· Capacité à lire des plans et dessins techniques.

· Bonne capacité à mesurer, inspecter et contrôler la qualité du travail.

· Capacité à travailler avec des équipements manuels et semi-automatiques.

· Capacité à travailler sous pression et à respecter les échéanciers.

· Souci du détail et de la précision.

· Capacité à travailler efficacement en équipe.

· Bonne capacité d'apprentissage et intérêt pour le développement de nouvelles compétences.
