SUMMARY Reporting to the Sr. Marketing Manager, the Marketing Coordinator (MC) is responsible for coordinating and tracking a range of marketing projects and engagement initiatives to support organizational objectives. The MC will work closely with members of the Marketing & Recruitment team to provide administrative and content development support. This will include overseeing project timelines and budgets to ensure alignment with the provided strategic direction. The MC will also have opportunities to support storytelling and content production in the form of blog posts, promotional materials, social media, website updates, and other communications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

PROJECT COORDINATION

Oversee timelines, schedules, and resourcing for marketing and recruitment activities and projects.

In collaboration with Sr. Marketing Manager, review and anticipate potential conflicts and concerns regarding budgets, workload, and timelines.

VOLUNTEER & PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT

Assist the Marketing & Engagement Officer with volunteer and partner engagement activities from planning through execution.
Continually research industry trends, best practices, and new strategies. Take initiative in identifying innovative activities to engage various audiences.

CONTENT & ACCOUNT COORDINATION

Manage user profiles, digital asset storage, and other administrative tasks for various content management platforms like WordPress, Canto, and Vista ProShop.
Support content creation for external communications as assigned by the Marketing & Design Officer.
Connect directly with international and program staff to collect information in support of marketing content production.

INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS

Maintain clear communication with internal stakeholders and senior management regarding project progress and reporting.
Compile and communicate key information from the Marketing & Recruitment team that is beneficial to the broader organization.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Experience as a project coordinator, administrative assistant, account manager, or a related role with transferable skills
Postsecondary education in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field of study; practical employment experience will also be considered
Exceptional relational, communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving abilities
Experience in the nonprofit sector and engaging with various stakeholders
Experience with project management methodologies and software
Positive attitude and a willingness to learn
Strong analytical, planning, and critical thinking skills to anticipate problems and proactively develop practical solutions
Ability to work independently in a remote/hybrid environment
Familiarity with financial tracking tools or spreadsheets (e.g. Excel)
Experience with writing, graphic design, and social media is an asset
French or Spanish language skills are not required, but would be an asset

PRINCIPALES RESPONSABILITÉS

COORDINATION DE PROJETS

Superviser les échéanciers, les horaires et l’affectation des ressources pour les activités et les projets de marketing et de recrutement.

ENGAGEMENT DES BÉNÉVOLES ET DU PUBLIC

Aider le responsable du marketing et de l’engagement dans les activités d’engagement des bénévoles et des partenaires, de la planification à la mise en œuvre.
Effectuer des recherches continues sur les tendances du secteur, les pratiques exemplaires et les nouvelles stratégies. Faire preuve d’initiative pour identifier des activités novatrices visant à mobiliser divers publics.

Expérience à titre de coordonnateur de projet, d’adjoint administratif, de gestionnaire de comptes ou dans un poste connexe offrant des compétences transférables
Études postsecondaires en administration des affaires, en marketing, en communications ou dans un domaine d’études connexe; une expérience professionnelle pratique sera également prise en considération
Excellentes aptitudes relationnelles, de communication, de résolution de conflits et de résolution de problèmes
Expérience dans le secteur sans but lucratif et dans la collaboration avec diverses parties prenantes
Expérience des méthodologies et des logiciels de gestion de projet
Attitude positive et volonté d’apprendre
Solides compétences en analyse, en planification et en réflexion critique pour anticiper les problèmes et élaborer de manière proactive des solutions pratiques
Capacité à travailler de façon autonome dans un environnement de travail à distance ou hybride
