The company offers a complete line of Exhaust Gas Purifiers designed for diesel, gasoline, and propane-fueled engines. CEP’s solutions help reduce harmful emissions and support cleaner, safer operations in industrial and commercial environments. This role involves assisting with the manufacturing, assembly, and packaging of catalytic emission control products and Exhaust Gas Purifiers. You'll work directly in our manufacturing process, turning raw stainless steel into finished catalytic cores for our exhaust products. You will also be very hands-on in our end-to end shipping and receiving process, responsible for packaging, painting, labeling, and paperwork duties.

This is a great fit for someone with solid shop experience who wants to keep building their skills. We'll train you on welding, finishing and more as you grow with us.

Compensation:

$25.00 - 27.00/hr

There will be a 3-6 month training and probationary period where upon completion, your hourly rate will be increased to $30.00/hr

Key Responsibilities:

  • Measure and cut stainless steel to size using a hydraulic shear
  • Roll stainless steel into cylinders using a slip roll machine
  • Use basic welding techniques to assemble finished catalytic cores
  • Take part in raw material fabrication throughout the catalytic core manufacturing process
  • Read and work from technical drawings and blueprints
  • Assist in packaging, preparing, and quality checks to complete shipping requirements
  • Complete inventory counts and restock materials and supplies
  • Keep the shop safe, clean and organized
  • Communicate clearly with the Shop Manager and team on progress and issues

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of general shop experience
  • Basic fabrication skills
  • Understanding of technical drawings and blueprints
  • Basic math and measurement skills to cut materials to the correct size
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs. regularly
  • Strong reliability, punctuality, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Willingness to learn manufacturing processes related to exhaust and emission control products.

Nice to haves:

  • Valid forklift operator license
  • Some prior welding experience (we'll teach you, but a foundation helps)
  • Experience with a hydraulic shear or slip roll machine

Training & Growth:

We invest in our people. Depending on company needs and downstream requirements, we'll train you to:

  • Weld and expand your fabrication skill set (basic TIG welding training and other welding experience will be provided as job duties evolve)
  • Use a paint gun to finish products
  • Operate our engraving machine to label finished goods

Benefits:

  • Employee group benefits plan available after probationary period.
