POSITION OVERVIEW

Cattron is currently seeking two (2) Software Engineer to design, develop, and test innovative software applications, SDKs, and APIs. In this role, you contribute to software development projects through a formal lifecycle - from requirements analysis and solution design to code reviews, testing, documentation, and production release - while maintaining and enhancing existing applications.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Designs, develops and tests new software applications, SDKs, and APIs
Upgrade/Maintain existing software applications
Responsible for software development projects following a formal process, including software design, code reviews, use of software standards, and testing
Provide general application support, analysis, and design related to applications running expansive business systems/functions globally
Prepare and review documents, including requirements analysis, design, unit testing plans, release notes and user guides etc.
Collaborate effectively with other groups and business partners
Investigate, recommend and implement new technologies

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
Experience may be substituted in lieu of degree
Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in software development
Rich knowledge on defining project scope, deliverables and team requirements
Proficient with various technology, which may include: Java, J2EE, EJB, JavaScript, AJAX, REST, SQL, DHTML, Linux, ASP, .NET, SOAP, C, C++, C#, and Shell Scripts
Able to work successfully in a deadline-driven, fast paced environment and effectively multi-task priorities in a team-oriented environment
Must be flexible and able to adapt to changing requirements and schedules
Enterprise web application development experience is preferred
Experience with Agile projects (Scrum) is a plus
Level of English Required: Intermediate
- Frequency of English Communication Expected for the Position: Daily - both written and verbal communication in English will be necessary on a regular basis – primarily for external communications with clients, suppliers, and/or partners outside of Quebec.
- Reason for English Requirement: The role involves ongoing collaboration with clients and suppliers in regions where English is the primary language. The individual will be required to read and interpret documentation in English and communicate regularly with stakeholders based in the United States.

APERÇU DU POSTE

Cattron est actuellement à la recherche de deux (2) ingénieurs en logiciel pour concevoir, développer et tester des applications logicielles, des trousses de développement logiciel (SDK) et des interfaces de programmation d’applications (API) innovantes. À ce poste, vous contribuerez à des projets de développement logiciel tout au long d’un cycle de vie formel - de l’analyse des besoins et de la conception de la solution jusqu’aux révisions de code, aux essais, à la documentation et à la mise en production - tout en assurant la maintenance et l’amélioration des applications existantes.

RESPONSABILITÉS

Concevoir, développer et tester de nouvelles applications logicielles, des SDK et des API.
Mettre à niveau/assurer la maintenance des applications logicielles existantes.
Est responsable des projets de développement logiciel suivant un processus formel, y compris la conception de logiciels, la révision de codes, l'utilisation de normes logicielles et les tests.
Fournit un soutien général, une analyse et une conception liés aux applications exécutant des systèmes/fonctions commerciaux expansifs à l'échelle mondiale.
Prépare et révise des documents, y compris l'analyse des besoins, la conception, les plans de tests unitaires, les notes de mise à jour et les guides d'utilisation, etc.
Collabore efficacement avec d'autres groupes et partenaires commerciaux.
Étudie, recommande et met en œuvre de nouvelles technologies.

EXIGENCES

Licence en informatique ou dans un domaine connexe préférable
Une expérience peut remplacer le diplôme
Au moins 1-2 ans d'expérience dans le développement de logiciels
Connaissances approfondies en matière de définition de la portée d'un projet, des livrables et des exigences de l'équipe
Capacité à diriger de petites équipes de projet et à obtenir des résultats conformes aux étapes clés et aux livrables
Maîtrise de diverses technologies, notamment : Java, J2EE, EJB, JavaScript, AJAX, REST, SQL, DHTML, Linux, ASP, .NET, SOAP, C, C++, C# et Shell Scripts
Flexibilité et capacité à s'adapter à l'évolution des exigences et des calendriers
Une expérience dans le développement d'applications web d'entreprise est préférable
Une expérience dans des projets Agile (Scrum) est un plus
Niveau d’anglais requis : intermédiaire

- Fréquence de communication en anglais attendue pour le poste : quotidienne - une communication écrite et verbale en anglais sera nécessaire de manière régulière - principalement pour les communications externes avec des clients, des fournisseurs et/ou des partenaires hors du Québec.
- Raison de l'exigence d'anglais : Le poste implique une collaboration continue avec des clients et des fournisseurs dans des régions où l'anglais est la langue principale. La personne devra lire et interpréter de la documentation en anglais et communiquer régulièrement avec des parties prenantes basées aux États-Unis.
