About Us

CCE Consulting provides bookkeeping and consulting for small businesses, combining ongoing support, systems design, and hands-on client education.

We’re not a traditional bookkeeping firm - we’re problem solvers who like figuring things out, improving how things work, and making financial data actually useful.

Our work sits at the intersection of bookkeeping & accounting, system design, and real-world problem solving. We build processes that actually work for our clients - not just clean books.

About the Role

This is a bookkeeping role in a highly digital, systems-driven environment. While transaction processing is part of the work, the role goes well beyond data entry - it requires curiosity, attention to detail, sound judgment, and an understanding of how different tools and workflows fit together.

You’ll build core bookkeeping fundamentals, while also developing a strong understanding of how tools, workflows, and financial data connect behind the scenes.

Each client file is different, and part of your role is learning how to: navigate variability, identify issues, and contribute to cleaner, more efficient systems.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Recording and reviewing financial transactions
  • Reconciling bank and credit card accounts
  • Organizing and maintaining financial records
  • Supporting monthly bookkeeping workflows and reviews
  • Investigating discrepancies and flagging items for follow-up
  • Working across multiple tools and systems
  • Identifying opportunities to improve workflows and sharing observations or suggestions with the team.

If you prefer work that is highly repetitive and environments where processes rarely change, this likely isn’t the right fit.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Clear and thoughtful communication
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Solid organizational skills
  • Interest in bookkeeping, accounting, and business operations
  • Willingness to learn and ask questions

Experience is helpful, but not required.

We care more about how you think than what you already know.

Tech & Systems Mindset

This is a systems-driven role.

You’ll be working across multiple platforms, moving between tools, and picking up new workflows as you go. Things won’t always look the same twice - and if you enjoy figuring things out, that’s where this role gets fun.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is comfortable working on a Mac and navigating new software
  • Enjoys learning new tools, shortcuts, and more efficient ways of doing things
  • Is curious about automation, AI, and improving workflows
  • Can work through unfamiliar situations without getting stuck
  • Is not intimidated by evolving technology

Role Details

  • Title: Digital Bookkeeping Specialist
  • Hours: 20–36 hours/week (flexible within that range for the right candidate, with a consistent weekly schedule established in advance rather than hours varying week to week).
  • Location: East Vancouver, BC
  • In-office during initial training, with potential for hybrid work thereafter
  • Schedule: Flexible, with 75% of hours worked during “standard” business hours

Compensation & Benefits

  • Starting wage aligned with experience. CCE Consulting is a Living Wage certified employer; all employees earn at or above the Living Wage, which is currently $27.85/hour.
  • Health & dental benefits eligibility after 3 months (based on hours worked)
  • Annual education stipend & opportunity to travel to attend conferences and industry events
  • Supportive team environment with opportunities for growth
