Data Engineer – Databricks |
Company: Celebal Technologies
Location: Ottawa, Canada
Employment Type: 9 to 12 Months contract
Role Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Data Engineer with strong Databricks expertise to design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks, PySpark, Python, and SQL.
- Work with Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Auto Loader, DLT, and Databricks Workflows.
- Implement Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold).
- Optimize Spark performance, clusters, and data processing.
- Support cloud data migration, data governance, and CI/CD deployments.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in Databricks, PySpark, Python, and Advanced SQL.
- Experience with Delta Lake, data pipelines, and performance optimization.
- Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD, and data engineering best practices.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
