Original job description

We are seeking an Advertising Specialist to join our client's team and assist in the execution of dynamic digital media advertising campaigns. In this role, you will work closely with digital advertising leadership, external media agencies, content marketing, production, and digital teams. You will support end-to-end campaign execution and take ownership of one or more advertising channels - including programmatic display/video, paid search, direct channels, and sponsored events. The ideal candidate will assist in developing strategic media placement recommendations, in-campaign optimization, post-campaign reporting, and budget tracking to drive measurable results.

This is a permanent role which will require the talent work on a hybrid basis at our client's office in Mississauga.

Responsibilities

Assist the digital advertising team in the creation, execution, and follow-up of paid advertising campaigns and multi-faceted projects.
Manage campaign workflows and timelines within Adobe Workfront to ensure all creative assets are delivered and ready for timely campaign launches.
Collaborate across internal teams - including Paid Social, Content, Digital Marketing, and Advanced Analytics - as well as external media agencies to guarantee seamless integration across paid, owned, and earned channels.
Help develop strategic, comprehensive media briefs for agency partners and internal stakeholders aligned with full-funnel marketing objectives.
Uncover and apply audience insights via Adobe Analytics and other data sources to guide targeting strategies and inform media plans.
Liaise with media agency partners to monitor spend efficiency, maintain the optimal media mix, and ensure core campaign targets are met.
Generate detailed campaign performance reports and dashboards to identify actionable insights for ongoing and future optimizations.
Conduct timely reviews and accounting of advertising expenditures to ensure accurate budget allocation and billing reconciliation.

Requirements

Education & Core Experience: University degree in Marketing, Advertising, or equivalent practical experience, paired with 2+ years of hands-on marketing or advertising experience.
Media & Platform Expertise: Demonstrated experience with multi-channel campaigns across paid search, programmatic and direct display/video, online video, audio (e.g., Spotify, podcasts), digital out-of-home, TV, or sponsorships. Practical familiarity with ad platforms such as Google Ads, Meta, Adobe AdCloud, Reddit, or LinkedIn.
Analytics & Ad Tech: Experience using 3rd-party ad serving technology (e.g., DoubleClick/CM360), building reporting dashboards, and leveraging tools such as Adobe Analytics to evaluate KPIs and guide campaign adjustments.
Project Management & Organization: Strong project management capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing deadlines under pressure.
Communication & Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal, persuasive, and diplomatic communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and external agencies.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications: Experience working within the financial services sector or at an advertising/media agency is a strong asset.

Ready to take your digital advertising career to the next level? If you are a proactive, data-driven marketer eager to make an impact, we encourage you to apply today! Submit your resume to be considered for this exciting opportunity.
