Product Designer

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Intermediate Product Designer to join our client's team. In this role, you will be instrumental in crafting intuitive, accessible, and user-centric native mobile experiences across iOS and Android platforms. This position requires talent to work on-site at our client's office a minimum of 4 days per week.

As an Intermediate Product Designer, you will take ownership of end-to-end product design, bridging the gap between user needs and business objectives. You will lead features from initial discovery and concept exploration through to detailed visual design, prototyping, and developer handoff. Operating within an agile, collaborative environment, you will work closely with cross-functional partners to deliver elegant, high-impact native mobile features while expanding and maintaining robust design system components.

Responsibilities

• Design easy-to-use, accessible, and client-focused native mobile experiences across both iOS and Android platforms.
• Create high-level experience concepts, detailed interaction flows, and polished visual UI designs aligned with product goals and platform standards.
• Partner closely with product managers, researchers, content designers, and developers to define, scope, and deliver new features and enhancements.
• Produce detailed design specifications, interactive prototypes, states, transitions, and documentation in Figma to support technical feasibility and seamless engineering delivery.
• Leverage, contribute to, and scale established native mobile design systems, component libraries, and theming frameworks.
• Publish and maintain component libraries, design patterns, and documentation in Figma.
• Design for digital accessibility, ensuring strict adherence to WCAG standards and evolving mobile platform accessibility guidelines.
• Monitor emerging mobile platform capabilities, OS interaction models, and industry best practices to continuously elevate the mobile product experience.
• Independently drive feature design forward through concept validation, implementation, and design QA.

Requirements

• Native Mobile Experience: 3–5 years of dedicated experience in product design, UX, and UI design, with demonstrated expertise in native mobile applications (iOS and Android).
• End-to-End Design Execution: Proven ability to manage the full product design lifecycle, from strategic problem-framing to pixel-perfect visual design, edge-case planning, and handoff.
• Figma Expertise: Advanced proficiency in Figma, including complex component creation, auto-layout, interactive prototyping, and developer-ready documentation.
• Design Systems & Mobile Standards: Practical experience utilizing and contributing to mobile design systems, alongside a strong understanding of native iOS Human Interface Guidelines and Android Material Design patterns.
• Collaboration & Agile Acumen: Demonstrated success collaborating with product, technology, and business partners in an agile delivery framework.
• Accessibility Standards: Solid working knowledge of WCAG standards and accessible mobile interaction design.
• On-Site Requirement: Availability to work on-site at the client’s office a minimum of 4 days per week.
• Assets (Nice-to-Have): Experience working within complex digital product ecosystems; interest or background in self-directed investing, wealth management, or financial services.
• Banking Experience: Previous experience at a top bank is required, ideally with experience in the investing space.
