Original job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior B2B Marketing Specialist to join our client's Solutions Team. In this high-visibility role, you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of commercial transportation product and portfolio strategies, taking into account product lifecycles, vertical rationale, competitive landscapes, and the end-to-end customer experience.

This role focuses on managing, developing, and executing marketing, commercial positioning, and operational alignment activities to achieve target business outcomes and grow market share across key B2B supply chain and logistics verticals (including AI, Industrial, Manufacturing, Technology, Healthcare, and Automotive).

This is a hybrid opportunity based out of our client's office in Mississauga, Ontario.

Description

As a Senior Marketing Specialist, you will act as the dedicated owner for B2B vertical growth strategy and execution. You will evaluate market opportunities across three key avenues: the market, the competition, and core product capabilities. By analyzing complex data sets, conducting market feasibility studies, and working closely with cross-functional and cross-border teams, you will turn data into actionable business insights and scalable solutions.

This is a high-visibility, pure individual contributor role that blends top-end strategic thinking with hands-on project management, execution, and peer mentorship.

Responsibilities

Commercial Vertical Strategy & Growth: Translate customer, market, and competitive insights into marketing and commercial strategies that drive growth across core transportation products and services within targeted B2B verticals.
Vertical Roadmap & Opportunity Assessment: Identify, define, and prioritize new growth opportunities, value-added services, vertical expansions, and network enhancements to address market whitespaces.
Economic & Competitive Evaluation: Independently evaluate the B2B transportation landscape and competitive intelligence to determine how product offerings align with market needs and where competitive advantages can be won.
Advanced Data Analysis & Modeling: Perform rigorous data analysis, database queries (SQL), and computer-generated modeling to extract business insights, validate market size, evaluate addressable revenue opportunities, and support decision-making.
Cross-Functional Program Management: Serve as the commercial and marketing lead on complex product launches and logistics initiatives across large cross-functional teams, including close collaboration with US counterparts.
Executive Communication: Synthesize strategy, market assessments, and performance metrics into executive-ready presentations and updates for senior leadership.
Mentorship & Leadership Development: Actively coach and mentor junior team members within the commercial business unit, building leadership capabilities for future growth opportunities.

Requirements

Experience: Minimum 6 years of direct experience in B2B product marketing, vertical marketing, or commercial strategy within supply chain, logistics, transportation, or related multi-vertical sectors.
Vertical Expertise: Strong background or working knowledge in at least one key B2B vertical, such as Technology, AI, Industrial, Manufacturing, Healthcare, or Automotive.
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
Data & Analytics Proficiency: Hands-on experience with advanced data modeling, quantitative analysis, reporting, and SQL to extract insights from large data sets.
Product & Program Management: Demonstrated hands-on knowledge of product marketing and end-to-end program/project management, with a track record of driving complex commercial initiatives from concept through execution.
Commercial Acumen: Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to assess transportation, logistical, and operational dynamics to identify addressable market size and profitable opportunities.
Communication & Stakeholder Management: Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills with proven success communicating complex strategies to executive leadership.
Experience navigating commercial business models in large, matrixed corporate environments.
Hands-on experience designing scalable B2B customer solutions from customer feedback and market research.
Background collaborating with cross-border international teams (e.g., US/Canada cross-functional alignment).

Ready to make an impact? If you are a strategic, data-driven B2B marketing professional ready to own vertical growth and lead major commercial initiatives, we encourage you to apply today! Please submit your resume detailing your relevant experience.
