Are you a commercially minded strategist who loves hunting for new revenue opportunities, evaluating unexplored verticals, and shaping go-to-market strategies?

We are seeking a Senior Specialist, Growth Strategy & Market Intelligence to help drive our client's commercial expansion across Canada and international trade corridors.

To be clear: this is NOT a pure data science or reporting role. While you’ll leverage data tools like SQL and Power BI to analyze market dynamics, your primary mandate is forward-looking strategy and commercial growth. You won’t be sitting back building routine dashboards or running data engineering pipelines; you will be actively identifying where our client should grow, how they win market share, and how they maximize profitability.

Positioned at the intersection of market intelligence, commercial strategy, and cross-functional leadership, you will translate complex market signals into high-impact growth recommendations for senior executives.

What You’ll Do (The Impact You’ll Make)

Identify & Size Growth Opportunities: Lead industry vertical and international trade lane assessments to uncover white-space opportunities, size market potential, and prioritize where we deploy commercial effort.
Drive Commercial & Go-To-Market Strategy: Translate market sizing, share-of-wallet analysis, and trade flow dynamics into clear, actionable recommendations for pricing, product positioning, and sales strategies.
Analyze Trade Corridors & Customer Demand: Evaluate international shipping corridors, customer behavior, and macroeconomic shifts to guide strategic network expansion and service differentiation.
Partner with Commercial Leaders: Work closely with Sales, Pricing, and Revenue Management teams to evaluate competitive positioning, conversion potential, and win rates across key target markets.
Lead Revenue & Market Growth Projects: Take full ownership of strategic initiatives with minimal supervision - guiding projects from initial market assessment to executive presentation.
Executive-Ready Storytelling: Synthesize market insights into compelling, decision-ready narratives and presentations that align senior leadership around growth priorities.

Requirements

Commercial & Strategic Mindset: You naturally look at data through a business lens - asking "What is the revenue opportunity here?" and "How do we win?"
Solid Analytical & Tool Proficiency: Practical, working proficiency with SQL and Power BI (or similar tools) to query data, build working models, and extract insights independently. (You use data as an enabler, not a destination.)
Experience in Strategy, Growth, or Market Intelligence: 6+ years of experience in market intelligence, commercial strategy, revenue management, or strategic consulting - ideally within logistics, transportation, supply chain, or B2B services.
Proven Market Sizing Capabilities: Hands-on experience conducting TAM/SAM assessments, share-of-wallet analysis, forecasting, and corridor/vertical evaluations.
Executive Presentation & Storytelling: Ability to communicate complex business insights clearly and persuasively to senior leadership and cross-functional partners.
Canadian Market Understanding: Strong grasp of the Canadian commercial landscape, trade flows, and competitive market dynamics.
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Strategy, Marketing, Economics, or Analytics.
