Original job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and confident Team Lead, Ads Project Manager to join our client's team. In this role, you will lead a team of 6–12 Ads Packages Project Managers across North America, Canada, and LATAM, owning team performance, delivery quality, and key stakeholder relationships across all three regions.

This is a 12-month contract role (October 2026 – October 2027) based in downtown Toronto, operating on a hybrid schedule requiring 3 days per week on-site at the office.

Pay Rate: $55.00 – $59.00/hour (T4) or $68.00 – $71.00/hour (Independent Contractor / IC)

Description

As the Team Lead for Online and Offline Ads Project Management, you will serve as a strong operational anchor and executive voice. Your team will consist of highly experienced practitioners across multiple geographic regions. You will bring the credibility required to mentor and direct senior talent, the presence to represent your team in client-facing settings, and the operational judgment to ensure complex program delivery runs seamlessly. This position requires an understanding of the social media landscape, creator ecosystems, offline/experiential events, and agency culture.

Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development

Manage, mentor, and develop a regional team of 6–12 Project Managers across North America, Canada, and LATAM.
Set clear performance standards, conduct weekly 1:1 sessions, and deliver actionable feedback covering package status, productivity, and team wellbeing.
Direct onboarding for new team members through structured guidance and hands-on support during their first 90 days.
Maintain and own core team documentation, including processes, operational policies, best practices, and training materials.

Market-Level Oversight & Operations

Maintain end-to-end visibility across active campaigns, workstreams, and portfolio capacity across all three regions.
Manage regional resource allocation and ensure capacity and delivery trackers are kept current proactively.
Closely monitor critical (P0) projects, maintaining direct alignment with responsible PMs.
Drive operational improvements to increase delivery quality, efficiency, and scalability across all covered markets.

Client & Stakeholder Management

Lead recurring syncs and senior leadership meetings with key stakeholders to align on productivity, troubleshoot priority issues, and mitigate risks.
Serve as a trusted primary point of contact for ongoing program health and critical escalations.
Initiate immediate recovery plans and escalate critical situations to delivery leadership within the same business day.

Cross-Regional Alignment & Team Building

Establish consistent delivery standards and operational frameworks across North America, Canada, and LATAM.
Identify successful regional initiatives and systematically apply best practices across other markets.
Collaborate with leadership to support team expansion, candidate interviewing, hiring pipeline management, and travel coordination.

Requirements

Must-Have Qualifications:

Education: Minimum of an Undergraduate Degree.
Experience: 4–8 years of experience in project management, campaign operations, marketing, or agency environments.
Leadership Experience: Demonstrated track record of leading, developing, and raising the performance bar for small-to-medium teams of experienced practitioners.
Experiential & Live Production: Hands-on experience with offline events, live activations, and experiential production, alongside digital campaign execution.
Stakeholder & Escalation Management: Proven ability to manage client relationships, drive senior stakeholder meetings, and resolve complex project escalations.
Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of agency culture, social media platforms, and creator/influencer ecosystems.
Communication Skills: Clear, confident English communication skills with strong executive presence across team meetings, client presentations, and crucial conversations.
Work Location Flexibility: Ability to work in a hybrid environment (3 days per week on-site in Toronto) and collaborate across varied regional dynamics (NA, LATAM).

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

Proficiency or fluency in Spanish is a strong asset for LATAM coverage.
Prior experience with major advertising platforms and digital media product suites.
