Original job description

We are seeking a collaborative and detail-oriented Digital Content Specialist to join our client's digital team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating clear, concise, and customer-centered content that elevates the digital experience across web and mobile platforms. Working alongside product managers, UX designers, developers, and business stakeholders, you will craft intuitive user interface content that guides users through seamless digital journeys, drives task completion, and builds user confidence.

The ideal candidate brings strong curiosity, a desire to learn the industry, and a passion for applying content design principles, user insights, and accessibility standards to create engaging, compliant, and polished digital experiences.

This is a full-time role which requires the talent to work onsite at our client's office in Mississauga 2 days per week.

Responsibilities

Craft, edit, and optimize intuitive UI content, microcopy, and digital messaging across responsive web and mobile applications.
Apply user research, behavioral insights, usability testing, and performance analytics to reduce customer friction and improve user understanding.
Ensure all content adheres to accessibility requirements, plain language principles, established style guides, and legal/regulatory compliance standards.
Participate actively in product discovery, design reviews, and agile sprint planning activities.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners - including UX designers, product managers, and developers - to achieve stakeholder alignment within project timelines.
Identify and resolve content gaps, redundancies, and inconsistencies across end-to-end user journeys.
Contribute to the ongoing evolution and governance of content design guidelines, design systems, and reusable content patterns.
Support A/B testing and content experimentation to validate effectiveness and drive measurable improvements in task completion and engagement.

Requirements

Education & Experience: College degree or equivalent practical experience, preferably with a specialization in communications, copywriting, English, or a related field, alongside 1+ years of dedicated UI writing or content design experience.
Content Design & UX Principles: Strong foundational understanding of UX writing, information architecture, customer journey mapping, and user-centered design methodologies.
Communication & Craft: Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a proven ability to distill complex concepts into clear, articulate, and accessible copy.
Product Development Mindset: Familiarity with agile workflows, digital product development cycles, and multi-platform design (mobile and web).
Collaboration & Polish: Highly collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills, intellectual curiosity, and a demonstrated desire for long-term professional growth.
Industry & Compliance Savvy (Asset): Prior experience writing within regulated or compliance-driven environments is considered a strong asset.

If you are an articulate, user-focused content specialist eager to design intuitive digital journeys and grow your career with an industry leader, we want to hear from power talent like you! Apply today by submitting your resume along with work samples or a portfolio showcasing your UI writing process and impact.
