The Facility Maintenance Coordinator supports the mission and ministry of Central Baptist Church by ensuring the church's buildings, grounds, and equipment are safe, functional, welcoming, clean, and properly maintained. </p>
The Facility Maintenance Coordinator serves as a member of the church staff. Accordingly, the position involves not only facility-related responsibilities but also regular interaction with staff, volunteers, ministry leaders, congregants, contractors, visitors, and community members. The Facility Maintenance Coordinator is a part-time (24+ hrs/wk) position and is primarily responsible for coordinating and carrying out facility maintenance at Central Baptist Church.
Who We Are
Located in the heart of Victoria, Central Baptist Church is a community of 300-400 people with diverse ages, ethnic backgrounds, and interests. Our vision is to be a church that is “renewing our community through the gospel.” By “our community” we mean ourselves, our neighbourhood, our city, and those places in the world where we can have influence.
Central is at a unique moment in its history. Though we have a strong 99-year history, we have an aging group of buildings, and we are situated in a neighbourhood that has many challenges involving addiction, mental-health issues and homelessness.

- Demonstrate Christian character, integrity, humility, respect, and a servant-hearted approach to their work.
- Participate, as reasonably required, in staff prayer, meetings, and other activities associated with being a member of the church staff.
The church recognizes that employees may come from different Christian traditions and backgrounds. The expectation is not necessarily uniformity on every secondary theological matter, but genuine alignment with the beliefs and ministry commitments Central identifies as essential to its Christian identity.
