Original job description

Pre-Sales D365 / ERP Solutions Architect

A Pre-Sales Solutions Architect contributes to the Centrilogic mission of being a premier Microsoft-focused managed services and cloud consulting partner. This role is a key member of the Centrilogic sales team whose primary purpose is to translate client business challenges into Centrilogic digital solutions - with a specialization in Dynamics 365, ERP platforms, and the broader Microsoft cloud ecosystem.

As the bridge between sales and technology, you will collaborate closely with sales teams, technology subject matter experts, and clients to design and propose innovative solutions. You will drive pre-sales engagements from initial discovery through proposal delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical feasibility.

The ideal candidate brings a solid D365/ERP background, modern cloud architecture experience, and the ability to communicate clearly with both technical teams and C-suite executives. You are a self-starter, a natural problem solver, and someone who brings credibility and trust into every client conversation.

Primary Responsibilities

Solution Architecture Development

Design robust solution architectures that align with holistic business requirements and industry best practices.
Apply deep expertise in Dynamics 365 and related ERP platforms (NetSuite, JDE, Oracle – working with appropriate SMEs) to create tailored, client-specific solutions.
Incorporate Microsoft Azure cloud architecture principles to design scalable, secure, and efficient solutions.
Identify and articulate AI and automation opportunities within ERP and cloud engagements, including Copilot for Dynamics 365 and Azure OpenAI integrations.

Technical Consultation

Act as a senior technical advisor to sales leadership and client stakeholders.
Engage with C-level executives to address infrastructure, security, and transformation concerns.
Translate client business needs into technical requirements and solution designs.
Maintain current knowledge of Dynamics 365, Microsoft Azure, Power Platform, Copilot, and CentriLogic’s service portfolio.

Sales Support

Partner with Account Executives to develop client relationships and provide strategic recommendations.
Articulate examples of previous work for US Enterprises where you had real-world involvement and how the solution solved their business needs.
Lead discovery workshops, business value assessments, and ROI / business case development to build executive buy-in.
Own the technical narrative in RFP responses and competitive engagements.
Assess leads and opportunities through discovery and rough-order-of-magnitude sizing.
Lead the creation and delivery of customized proposals, effort estimates, pricing models, and Statements of Work (SOWs).
Articulate the value proposition of CentriLogic’s managed services, cloud, and AI capabilities to clients and prospects.
Facilitate Executive Briefing workshops and custom proof-of-concepts (POCs).
Leverage your professional network to open doors to new opportunities.

Collaboration with Subject Matter Experts

Partner with SMEs across the organization and partner network to design solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
Conduct due diligence and peer reviews prior to proposal delivery.
Engage with technology SMEs across ERP, cloud, connectivity, security, and data analytics to validate technical feasibility.
Work with delivery and implementation teams to review designs prior to proposal and provide guidance at project kick-off.

Qualifications

Education

University degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or equivalent.

Experience

10+ years of experience with ERP systems, with Dynamics 365 strongly preferred, including:
Full-cycle system implementation
Migration and cutover, including data migration
Integration design to/from legacy and third-party systems
Process analysis, redesign, and documentation
5+ years of Solution Architecture or consulting experience in a client-facing services environment.
5+ years of Microsoft Azure experience, including cloud architecture design and migration.
Demonstrated experience leading pre-sales engagements: discovery, proposal development, business case creation, and competitive positioning.

Certifications (Preferred)

Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 (Expert or Associate level) - Finance, Supply Chain, or equivalent
Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Solution Architect

Core Skills

Proficiency in Dynamics 365 ERP solution design, consulting, and integration architecture.
Understanding of two or more ERP functional areas (Financial Accounting, Manufacturing, HR, CRM, Supply Chain, Job Costing, Sales, Procurement).
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI.
Experience with Microsoft Copilot and Copilot for Dynamics 365; ability to identify and scope AI use cases within ERP workflows during presales.
Familiarity with Copilot Agent Builder and Microsoft AI solutions (Azure OpenAI, AI Foundry).
Understanding of Cloud IaaS and PaaS services with prior Azure architecture experience.
Well versed in technology solutions related to Security, Cloud, Managed Services, and Data Centre.
Understanding of security concepts (Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Proxy, DDoS, SIEM, DLP, WAF).
Ability to mentor colleagues and provide ERP implementation support and guidance.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills - comfortable presenting to C-suite and technical audiences alike.
Ability to travel within the Greater Toronto Area, nationally, and to the northeastern United States as required.
