Position Summary

CGI is looking for an IBM Infrastructure/Storage Solutions Architect to support one of its clients in the evolution of its technology solutions and infrastructure.

Reporting to the Director, Technology Infrastructure and Shared Services, the successful candidate will analyze business requirements and guide the evolution of technology solutions, with a particular focus on infrastructure, storage, and IBM environments.

The role involves close collaboration with IT teams, internal stakeholders, technology specialists, and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

Design and configure technology tools and solutions within the assigned area.
Analyze technology requirements based on business objectives and internal client needs.
Participate in infrastructure architecture, analysis, and solution design activities.
Ensure solutions comply with security, integrity, availability, and performance standards.
Assess the technological and economic viability of proposed solutions.
Conduct ongoing technology monitoring and identify gaps between organizational needs and existing capabilities.
Maintain up-to-date architecture documentation.
Lead technology workshops involving stakeholders and specialists across various technology domains.
Contribute to solution deployment and implementation strategies.
Participate in projects and change requests through production deployment.
Ensure quality control of implemented infrastructure solutions.
Represent the team at Change Advisory Board (CAB/MEP) meetings.
Act as a subject matter expert and provide guidance or training to IT teams when required.
Contribute to the improvement and harmonization of technology processes, methods, and procedures.
Develop and maintain three-year and five-year lifecycle plans for technology equipment and software.
Collaborate with IT leaders, technology specialists, external consultants, and business units.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
More than 10 years of experience in networking, virtualization, security, databases, storage, and backup.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft and VMware technologies.
Experience with Azure and AWS environments.
Strong knowledge of storage and security technologies, OpenShift, Load Balancing, Mainframe, Power, and Active Directory (AD).
Bilingual proficiency in French and English, both written and spoken, is essential.
Availability for occasional travel between the client’s offices in Laval, Montreal, Varennes, and Ontario.

CGI est à la recherche d’un(e) Architecte de solutions infra/stockage IBM pour accompagner l’un de ses clients dans l’évolution de ses solutions et infrastructures technologiques.

Relevant du Directeur, Infrastructure technologique et Services communs, la personne titulaire du poste sera responsable d’analyser les besoins de l’entreprise et de guider l’évolution des solutions technologiques, notamment en matière d’infrastructure, de stockage et d’environnements IBM.

Elle travaillera en étroite collaboration avec les équipes TI, les parties prenantes internes, les différents domaines d’expertise technologique ainsi que les partenaires externes.

Responsabilités principales

Concevoir et assurer la configuration des outils et technologies relevant de son secteur.
Analyser les besoins d’évolution des solutions technologiques selon les objectifs de la direction et les besoins des clients internes.
Participer aux activités d’architecture, d’analyse et de conception des solutions d’infrastructure.
S’assurer que les solutions respectent les normes et standards en matière de sécurité, d’intégrité, de disponibilité et de performance.
Évaluer la viabilité technologique et économique des solutions proposées.
Assurer une veille technologique constante et identifier les écarts entre les besoins de l’organisation et les solutions existantes.
Maintenir à jour la documentation d’architecture.
Diriger des ateliers technologiques avec les différents intervenants et domaines d’expertise.
Participer aux stratégies de déploiement et d’implantation des solutions.
Participer aux projets et demandes de changement jusqu’à leur mise en production.
Assurer le contrôle de la qualité des solutions d’infrastructure mises en place.
Représenter l’équipe au comité de gestion des changements (MEP/CAB).
Agir comme référence et, au besoin, comme formateur auprès des équipes TI.
Participer à l’amélioration et à l’harmonisation des processus, méthodes et procédures.
Élaborer et maintenir les plans triennal et quinquennal du cycle de vie des équipements et logiciels.
Collaborer avec les gestionnaires TI, spécialistes technologiques, consultants externes et unités d’affaires.

Qualifications Requises

Baccalauréat en informatique ou dans un domaine connexe.
Plus de 10 ans d’expérience en réseautique, virtualisation, sécurité, bases de données, stockage et sauvegarde.
Maîtrise des technologies Microsoft et VMware.
Expérience avec les environnements Azure et AWS.
Bonne connaissance des technologies de stockage, sécurité, OpenShift, Load Balancer, Mainframe, Power et Active Directory (AD).
Bilinguisme français et anglais, à l’oral et à l’écrit, essentiel.
