Position Description
We are seeking a Change Management Specialist who ensures that both business and technology changes are effectively translated into operational success, with a strong focus on the people side of change.
Acting as a bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams, this role supports smooth adoption, minimizes disruption, and drives measurable improvements in efficiency, productivity, and service delivery. Transfer Agency expertise is a critical asset.
The role requires working three days per week from our/client’s downtown Toronto office.
Your future duties and responsibilities
Change Management and Adoption
- Oversee and deliver change management activities across the full project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with project plans and consistent application of change practices.
- Create and implement structured change plans covering communication, training, stakeholder engagement, business readiness, impact assessment, adoption tracking, and resistance management.
Business and Technology Liaison
- Act as the key link between business and technology teams, ensuring alignment on objectives, scope, and delivery priorities.
- Translate business needs into clear, user-focused requirements and outcomes that support operational effectiveness.
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops to drive clarity, decision-making, and shared understanding across stakeholders.
Process Improvement and Operational Efficiency
- Identify and lead initiatives to streamline processes, reduce inefficiencies, improve service delivery, and drive automation.
- Conduct process mapping and root cause analysis, define and monitor KPIs, and embed continuous improvement and standardization across teams.
Conversion and Transformation
- Lead or support end-to-end conversion initiatives, including system migrations, platform changes, and operating model transitions.
- Assess business readiness and operational impacts, coordinate cutover and transition activities, and provide post-implementation hypercare support.
- Ensure readiness across data, processes, and users while identifying and mitigating risks and maintaining stakeholder alignment throughout the conversion lifecycle.
Analysis and Project Delivery
- Conduct impact assessments and gap analysis; use data, metrics, feedback, and lessons learned to identify trends, support business cases, and drive targeted improvements.
- Lead or contribute to transformation and improvement projects from planning through execution, managing timelines, dependencies, and deliverables while driving measurable improvements in efficiency, cost, or service quality.
Stakeholder Engagement and Communication
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business, operations, and technology stakeholders.
- Deliver clear, targeted communications and promote a culture of continuous improvement, adaptability, and engagement.
Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role
- Experience in change management, stakeholder engagement, and business readiness.
- Experience supporting transformation, conversion, migration, and process improvement initiatives.
- Ability to bridge business and technology teams and facilitate cross-functional workshops.
- Experience with impact assessments, process mapping, gap analysis, and KPI tracking.
- Strong communication, organizational, and project delivery skills.
- Transfer Agency experience is a critical asset.
CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $55,000–$105,000. This role is an existing vacancy.
