Your future duties and responsibilities
- Record and process payroll-related accounting transactions.
- Prepare monthly account analyses and bank reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and follow up on corrective actions.
- Participate in the monthly and year-end accounting cycle.
- Contribute to the optimization of processes and procedures.
- Ensure the integrity and accuracy of recorded financial information.
- Collaborate with operations teams and other business units.
- Ensure accurate accounting treatment of transactions and proper management of financial risks.
- Adhere to established verification and validation procedures and controls.
Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role
- Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in Accounting or Management.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting is considered an asset.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting firm or in general accounting.
- Strong knowledge and experience with the full accounting cycle.
- Proficiency with computer applications, particularly Microsoft Excel (essential).
- Demonstrates strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Possesses excellent analytical skills and a high level of accuracy.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work independently.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to make recommendations aimed at improving control and verification processes.
- Knowledge of the ACCPAC (Sage 300) accounting software is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of payroll accounting processes is considered an asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French.
CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $50,000–$85,000. This role is an existing vacancy.
