Position Description
This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our downtown Toronto and/or Client office at a minimum 2 days per week subject to change at any time.
You’ll be joining client's Capital Markets, AML group, reporting to the Senior Manager and working in a Scrum team using Agile methodology.
As a Senior Consultant, Business Systems Analysis, you will be responsible for executing business analysis activities within a matrix organization in order to advance assigned business initiatives and ensure project success.
You will act as a liaison between project stakeholders by serving as single point of contact with respect to requirement expertise, requirement management process and will actively participate in all phases of a project life cycle. This role requires interaction with multiple AML Management groups as well as other Technology teams.
You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1 day per week on-site, while other days will be remote.
Your future duties and responsibilities
Gather, assess, analyze, and document business, sponsor, and stakeholder requirements in alignment with project objectives and deliverables.
Translate business requirements into clear user stories, functional requirements, acceptance criteria, and supporting documentation.
Collaborate with business stakeholders and technology teams to support applications involving client and regulatory data.
Participate in Agile delivery activities, including requirements refinement, sprint planning, backlog discussions, and solution validation.
Support business and system initiatives related to Capital Markets products and client onboarding processes, including AML/KYC and risk assessment.
Analyze existing business processes and system functionality to identify requirements, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
Lead testing activities for system changes by developing and executing test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with stakeholders, including test preparation, execution, defect tracking, and validation of outcomes.
Maintain accurate and detailed business, functional, testing, and project documentation throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Communicate requirements, issues, and project-related information clearly across business and technology stakeholders.
Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role
Must have skills:
- 5-7 years of relevant career BA/BSA experience in agile environments and handling user stories, documentation, requirements gathering.
- 5+ years experience in Capital Markets (preferably AML)
- 3+ years experience using SQL queries
- Experience in writing user stories
- Experience in requirements analysis and quality documentation
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Excel - vLookup / pivot tables
- PowerPoint
- CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $80,000–$130,000. This role is an existing vacancy.
