Workday Integrations Specialist Consultant
Role Summary
The Workday Integrations Specialist is responsible for the design, development and maintenance of internal enterprise applications and external systems. The role provides technical expertise across inbound and outbound integrations, ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable data exchanges that support HR, Payroll, Finance, and other business processes.
The Workday Integrations Specialist works closely with HR, IT, business stakeholders, system architects, vendors, and project teams to deliver integration solutions that align with business requirements, enterprise standards, and operational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain Workday integrations.
- Design, configure and implement integrations using Workday integration technologies including: o Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB)
- Core Connectors
- Workday Studio
- Workday Web Services (WWS)
- REST and SOAP APIs
- Report as a Service (RaaS)
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into robust integration solutions.
- Ensure integrations are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
- Maintain integration documentation, technical specifications, process flows, and support procedures
- Coordinate with vendors and implementation partners on integration deliverables.
- Facilitate meetings, workshops, and discussions to gather requirements and provide project updates.
- Provide technical guidance regarding integration capabilities, limitations, and best practices.
- Collaborate with enterprise architecture, security, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure successful solution delivery.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience building and supporting Workday integrations.
- Experience with Workday integration technologies including EIB, Core Connectors, Studio, APIs, and RaaS.
- Experience integrating Workday with enterprise applications such as:
- HR systems
- Payroll platforms
- Identity management solutions
- ServiceNow
- ERP systems
- Third party vendors
- Experience working with XML, XSLT, JSON, REST, SOAP, and web services.
- Understanding of integration patterns, middleware, and cloud integration platforms.
- Experience supporting global organizations and multi region processes is considered an asset.
