Original job description
We are currently looking for an SAP S/4HANA Migration Specialist to participate in the planning and execution of transformation projects to SAP S/4HANA.
In this role, you will work with functional, technical, Basis, and data teams to ensure a reliable and controlled migration to the new S/4HANA environments.
Your future duties and responsibilities
Participate in the analysis of the existing SAP environment and the definition of the migration strategy.
Assess the technical impacts associated with the migration to S/4HANA.
Participate in system conversion and migration activities.
Analyze the results of readiness tools and identify corrective actions.
Coordinate technical activities with the Basis, development, functional, and infrastructure teams.
Participate in migration cycles, mock conversions, and rehearsals.
Analyze and resolve issues encountered during conversions.
Help optimize downtime and the cutover plan.
Document procedures, results, and technical decisions.
Required Skills
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Very good knowledge of SAP ECC and S/4HANA architectures.
Experience with S/4HANA conversion or migration projects.
Knowledge of the System Conversion process and associated tools.
Knowledge of SUM/DMO, Maintenance Planner, and SAP Readiness Check.
Understanding of Simplification Items and S/4HANA related impacts.
Knowledge of HANA and SAP Basis environments is an asset.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
Excellent command of French and English.
Required Qualifications
University or college degree in computer science or a related field.
Significant experience in SAP environments.
Participation in at least one S/4HANA migration or conversion project preferred.
SAP S/4HANA or technical certifications are an asset.
CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $60,000–$100,000. This role is an existing vacancy / a future opportunity.

Responsibilities

Requirements
Requires a university or college degree in computer science or a related field, significant SAP experience, strong knowledge of SAP ECC and S/4HANA, and experience with S/4HANA conversion or migration projects. Knowledge of System Conversion, SUM/DMO, Maintenance Planner, SAP Readiness Check, Simplification Items, and HANA or SAP Basis is sought; French and English proficiency is required, while relevant certifications and participation in a migration project are preferred or assets.
