Position Description
This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our downtown Toronto and/or Client office (Downtown, Toronto) at a minimum 4 days per week subject to change at any time.
We are seeking a Technical Business Systems Analyst to join our Anti Money Laundering (AML) team. The ideal candidate will have an AML background within the banking or financial services domain, strong data analytical skills, and experience supporting regulatory reporting.
Your future duties and responsibilities
- Support AML initiatives, processes, and technology solutions within the banking domain.
- Analyze AML data, identify trends, and support data quality and reporting requirements.
- Work with business and technology stakeholders to gather, document, and translate requirements.
- Support reporting obligations to FINTRAC, including data analysis, validation, and issue resolution.
- Assist with the design, testing, and implementation of AML systems and reporting enhancements.
- Investigate data discrepancies and provide clear recommendations for remediation.
- Prepare functional documentation, process flows, and reporting specifications.
- Collaborate with compliance, operations, technology, and data teams.
Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role
Must Have skills:
- Min 6+ years of experience working in BSA, AML capacity within the banking or financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of AML processes, controls, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong data analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with large data sets and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
- Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience supporting regulatory reporting, preferably FINTRAC reporting.
Preferred Qualification
- CAMS certification.
- Experience with AML reporting platforms, data analysis tools, SQL, or business intelligence tools.
- CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $70,000–$120,000. This role is an existing vacancy.
