You will join the Customer and Market Intelligence team within the Payroll Services Centre for an internship focused on business intelligence, data, and artificial intelligence. Under the guidance of our specialists, you will contribute to real-world data analysis and automation projects while developing your skills in a supportive learning environment.

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $18-32/hour. This role is an existing vacancy.

Your future duties and responsibilities

• Participate in collecting, consolidating, and preparing data from various sources, ensuring data consistency and quality.
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the Product Marketing and Customer Success teams.
• Conduct exploratory analyses to address business questions and identify trends, customer behaviours, and opportunities for improvement.
• Participate in prototyping simple solutions using generative AI, including AI agents, scripts, and automation tools to streamline analysis and research activities.
• Document data sources, analyses, and developed tools to facilitate their use and reuse.
  
  

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

• Currently enrolled in a university program in Business Intelligence, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Business Administration, or a related field, and seeking an internship.
• Relevant experience gained through an academic project, internship, or student employment is preferred.
• Good knowledge of SQL and familiarity with a data visualization tool such as Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Python or another programming or scripting language is an asset.
• Familiarity with generative AI tools and a strong interest in AI agents and automation.
• Technological curiosity, teamwork skills, growing autonomy, and a willingness to learn.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Proficiency in French, both written and spoken.
