At CGIS, we're proud to be a Canadian leader in high-performance valves and automation, and even prouder of our people. Here, the application dictates the valve.

We're looking for a driven Technical Sales Representative who brings both commercial savvy and technical know-how to the table. Reporting to the VP of Sales, you'll take the wheel on managing and growing an exciting territory, using consultative selling to connect our top-tier valve, automation, and service products with clients across Mining, Pulp & Paper, Power, Oil and Gas, Refining, and Water/Wastewater industries.

What You'll Do

  • Own and grow a ~$2.5M+ territory through proactive, consultative selling
  • Build real relationships with customers by helping them solve problems every day
  • Spot opportunities, follow up on quotes, and close business consistently
  • Team up with Applications Specialists to deliver accurate, high-performance solutions
  • Guide customers through valve and automation selection, presenting the solutions that truly fit their needs
  • Keep your pipeline and opportunities organized using SAP and sizing tools
  • Jump into larger projects when needed
  • Navigate confidently through End User, Engineering, and OEM clients
  • Stay on top of quotations to close more sales, and learn from every opportunity

About You

  • Engineering background or equivalent industry experience
  • 3+ years of industrial sales experience (valves/automation strongly preferred)
  • A track record of growing territory and closing deals
  • Strong technical aptitude paired with a consultative, problem-solving mindset
  • A natural relationship builder with the drive, curiosity, and resilience to win
  • Sharp business instincts and a track record as a high achiever
  • Recognized as a go-to technical expert on core products
  • Comfortable with travel (up to 50%)
  • Must possess a valid driver's license

Why You'll Love Joining CGIS

At CGIS, we don't just sell valves; we solve complex problems and build lasting relationships. When you join our team, you're joining a values-driven company that genuinely cares about its people. We offer more than just a job; we offer a supportive environment where you can grow your career, enjoy work-life balance, and have fun along the way. With exciting territory ownership and the chance to represent top-tier products in critical industries, this is a unique opportunity to make a real impact. Plus, you'll enjoy:

  • Comprehensive Benefits: Company-paid extended health, dental, vision, and paramedical coverage
  • Financial Support: RRSP matching and Annual Profit Sharing
  • Work-Life Balance: Paid sick and personal days, plus two “Sunny Fridays or Mondays” to extend your weekend
  • Generous Time Off: A competitive vacation package
  • Well-Being: Access to an Employee & Family Assistance Program and Cost Plus Benefits to support your personal health
  • Career Development Opportunities, including a Tuition Reimbursement program
  • Extras: Costco membership, employee referral bonuses, company events, and more
