Job Overview

As a Technician for our Sample Management-Shipping department at the Laval location, you will be performing sample management activities and following directives from the study plans.

In This Role, Primary Responsibilities Include

Shipment Packing/Labeling/Marking and tracking;
Fill appropriate documentation for shipment purposes;
Ensure that work is performed in accordance with the requirements of a study plan and in full compliance with GLP, where these conditions apply;
Perform the preparation of the sample shipments to other locations or disposition of the samples, as well as all follow-ups attached to these tasks;
Perform reception, verification and storage of samples using the internal manual system and/or the Watson LIMS system.

We are looking for the following minimum qualifications for this role:

High school or College diploma in a relevant field;
Good working knowledge of computers;
Ability to quickly adapt to changes based on priorities;
Flexibility, autonomy, and ability to work independently or in collaboration;
Experience using LIMS system (Watson) is an asset;
Knowledge in Logistics, IATA and DOT certification, an asset.

Role Specific Information

Location: Laval: 445 Boul. Armand-Frappier, Laval, QC, H7V 4B3;
Transportation: Free parking. Near the Montmorency Subway. Electric vehicle charging station;
Salary: $21.75/hr;
Annual bonus based on performance;
Schedule: Weekday schedule, Monday to Friday. Depending on the needs, you may have to do overtime;
Permanent position as of the hiring, full time 37.5hrs per week.

About Safety Assessment

Charles River is committed to helping our partners expedite their preclinical drug development with exceptional safety assessment services, state-of-the-art facilities and expert regulatory guidance. From individual specialty toxicology and IND enabling studies to tailored packages and total laboratory support, our deeply experienced team can design and execute programs that anticipate challenges and avoid roadblocks for a smooth, efficient journey to market. Each year approximately 300 investigational new drug (IND) programs are conducted in our Safety Assessment facilities.
