Grocery Key Accounts Manager

Ontario | Greater Toronto Area

Build the relationships, listings, and programs that will shape the next stage of Charton Hobbs' Ontario grocery business.

The Opportunity

Charton Hobbs is seeking a Grocery Key Accounts Manager to develop major head office relationships and accelerate growth across Ontario grocery. This role is responsible for approximately half of our grocery business in the region and will lead customer planning, listing presentations, programming, and business development across assigned accounts.

The immediate focus is our LCBO-listed beverage alcohol portfolio within licensed grocery. The role will also develop opportunities for our non-alcohol products with grocery banners that do not hold liquor licences.

What You Will Do

Call on grocery head offices and build strong relationships with buyers, category managers, and commercial decision makers.
Win new listings and negotiate customer programming, promotional activity, features, and displays.
Create customer plans and forecasts and present clear, data-supported recommendations.
Establish relationships with secondary and non-traditional liquor retailers that are not consistently reached through regular sales call cycles.
Work with Portfolio Managers to allocate budgets and prioritize customer investments.
Partner with the Ontario Sales Manager to create field sales targets and execution priorities.
Connect head office commitments with disciplined field execution and follow-up.
Develop non-alcohol sales opportunities with grocery banners that do not have liquor licences.
Track results, evaluate investment effectiveness, identify growth opportunities, and recommend corrective actions where required.
Provide clear commercial updates to leadership.

What You Bring

3 to 5 years of key account management experience in consumer packaged goods.
Direct experience managing grocery customers at the retail head office level.
A track record of winning listings, building customer programs, and managing commercial negotiations.
Strong business planning, presentation, financial, and analytical capabilities.
The confidence to create new relationships and open doors in less accessible channels.
A collaborative approach to working with portfolio, sales, and leadership teams.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
A valid driver's licence and the ability to travel within Ontario as required.

Reporting Relationship
