Position Overview
We are looking for a passionate Educational Assistant to work with Grade 12 student in Abbotsford BC, in a home education context. This position is in person for 6 hours per week .
Rate per hour: $23 to $29

College students, youth group leaders, Sunday School Teachers.

- Experience supporting students who use Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) tools and strategies, as well as emotional regulation supports, is an asset but not required.
- Experience using TouchChat is considered an asset.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a home-based learning environment.
- Ability to reliably travel to and work at the student’s home-based learning location.

Responsibilities
Provide in-person educational assistance to a Grade 12 student in Abbotsford within a home education setting. Support the student's learning and, as applicable, use AAC tools and strategies and emotional regulation supports.
Requirements
Applicants should be able to work independently and collaboratively in a home-based learning environment and reliably travel to the student's learning location. An Educational Assistant Certificate, behaviour intervention training, and experience with AAC or TouchChat are assets but are not required.
